Very impressive results! There also seems to be a good bit of room for improvement on both the ET and trap given a harder launch and better air. I wonder also how much room there is for improvement from exhaust modifications.
Were you able to get some 60-130mph data? I would imagine that on that one run it would have been a mid to high 8 second time... and that is without optimizing the starting gear.
With these new biturbo beasts running around...I might have to up the ante on my mods.... or break down and join the fun..![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

The best 60 - 130 run without brake boosting was 8.6.
Its my understanding that Renntech is working on a bunch of mods for the BiTurbo V8. I'll ask out about the exhaust and let you know.

From what i can see i believe you can at the least gain a few MPH in the trap speed. After all a stock 63 traps at 122 so 125 seems a bit low from over 100 hp gain. I see these cars going very low 11's w more testing.
With the lighter E63 on the way we might see some 10 sec passes w 130+ traps!
....
As for exhaust being that its a turbo car if you go with a open dump (exhaust valve) before the cats or turbo back exhaust straight through (catless) you should be able to gain somewhere around 30-40 HP.
My question is how are the intercoolers in these new set ups? Upgrades?
with turbos the gains are endless.... Wont be surprised to see 800 hp 63's soon enough.

The magazine times generally don't equate to real trap speeds unless they were at a dragstrip (Not Vbox) and did not use a correction factor.
Also, check dragtimes.com - stock BiTurbo CLS63 (even with PP) are trapping 115 - 116 mph in poor air.
The 125 mph for the RENNtech car is uncorrected in hot, humid air (DA of 1700 ft). This CLS was trapping nearly 127 mph on the Vbox and 125 mph on the timeslip. I prefer to go by the timeslip.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
WOW!!
I definitely see this car getting into the 10's, just as it is now, with better reaction time and better ambient conditions.
Renntech group buy anyone?

You have set the bar mighty high already IMHO.
That was a very good pass in a one off car that will take a few hundred passes to master due to electronics and safety features.
Plus Vic never runs on the drag strip, haha look for some 60-130 stuff however

I was running on a regular test and tune night, and had limited runs to experiment with the car. Also, I was very consevative with launch since we were just seeking a solid baseline and trying not to hurt someonelse's car. Looking forward to cooler weather and a track rental so I can fine-tune the launch.
I expect guys is the NE and other places with good DA to be running in the 10s very soon.
Glad everyone enjoyed the video.

And why you would reasonably want to - the new E63 is definitely faster out of the box, and if you're looking for pure speed when even buy a sedan that weighs as much as the CLS. For ~$100k, there are a TON of RIDICULOUSLY fast cars to be had.

I already own a E63 and love the looks of the cls. i am into speed greatly but love luxury at the same time. A friend of mine is #2 on the F10 M5 list which is around the same weight as the cls but i read somewhere that w the carbon ceramic package along w some deleted options it reduces some weight. i don't want to spend 100K on a pure go fast car, i already own one. i was just curious. if it needed to be bare i wouldn't get it your right i would go with a e63. The cls is damn sexy but small inside... FYI there is a nicely equipped Cls63 black/blk. with 2k on it locally . it was the owner of the dealers car. If anyone is looking for a deal you can probably get a good price on it. (NON PP) PEPE MERCEDES WHITE PLAINS, NY.

07 E63. 07 STi limited #606/800
Wow, OMG, I want now.
It's like both my car's put together, I'd sell my STi and my E63 for this, put in a huge external wastegate, total sleeper, profit.

11.37 @ 125.1 mph
and thats with a crappy 1.81 60 ft launch - think of the ET's on that car with a decent launch - 1.6's are easily achievable with DOT tires when done properly

3.4 =. 0-60 for a 4200 lbs for something that sexy is almost to good to be true
Maybe 3.1 = 0-60 with:
1. Larger turbos
2. Bigger injectors
3. Larger throttle body
4. Headers
5. TCU Tune
