Looks great! Any reason why the rear is lower than the front? Clearance?

How does the drive differ with lower springs?

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
First, thank you Brian for keeping this project moving forward. You guys really know how to make someone feel like a celebrity.

Clearance is fine. Depending on the driveway, I can still come up to some head-on, but I've always used the diagonal approach whenever I can.

Surprisingly, the ride is very close to stock. The KA's are perfect for this car. Over bumps and into dips feel the same as they did before installing them. Also, when you set the suspension mode in the cabin (Comfort, Sport, Sport+) you can still feel how each of the settings differ.

I am loving the stance. Not in love with the wheels but it is sitting just right.

Clap Clap Clap.... Nicely done!!!

As for the lowering question on why the rear is lower than the front- its probably not the case. Im sure the car is level but when it comes to benzes and drops to get a level drop the rear is always closer or over the fender than the front. The same is with my E63 and CLS and was the same with my E55's and CL65.

Did you get a chance to weigh the 21's? Im sure they are in the 30's...

Wheel Weights:

Front: 29.5 lbs
Rear: 30.5 lbs (Well it was actually 30.4 lbs but I figured I'd just round up)

Benefits of having the step lip contour design is less weight. We have done 20" X-Treme Concave set ups with lower offsets for Bimmers that weigh 34lbs in the rear.

Wow not bad for 21's with concavity.

That's good. It would seem the ride would stiffen due to less spring travel.

That makes sense. It would also make sense not to lower the front more because of clearance too.
