Discovering New Newbie Features
Still a newbie to the Mercedes world but I have discovered some cool features without reading the owners manual yet. Please share your fun discoveries.
1) The car will automatically go into park if you open the door. A good safety feature.
2) The reverse parking sensor display is visible while looking through the rear view mirror.
3) Automatic high beam and light adjustment. The lights automatically adjust while driving depending on traffic in front of you. That's nice and very handy.
4) The side view mirrors adjust down when going forward when going slow and when parking sensors are detecting close objects.
5) Sport + mode, going from stop sign to stop sign can be brutally fun when laying in the torque.
5) The sunroof cover opens about 6 inches (from closed) when stepping on the throttle. Maybe too much torque or something loose
6) The ride attracts a lot of attention and it's such a fun car to drive.

If you hold down the AMG button for 10 seconds and you have a non PP car, the boost will change from 14.4 psi to 18.8....
Nah but had you for a quick second---

And #4 is awesome - guess I need to program mine
I have the same issue with the cover!

i read the general 2012 cls manual, but it really doesnt go into much detail with respect to the CLS63 amg and the specific amg functions, like programing the amg button;
it doesnt say much about what the amg button controls,
or what the specific differences are between sport , sport plus and manual...
like youd think thered be a section on how to set up bluetooth with your phone... i saw nothing there on it.
and there are no onscreen menus /descriptions of the nav screen and all the different screens and features.
its really pretty uninformative, almost leaves the impressions that its a "figure it out for yourself" type of thing
is there a more specific "AMG owners manual" or anything, that comes with the car?
id really like to be able to read more indepth before i pick up my car.

There is a separate nav manual which I never read.

Here is another good one I figured out the other day. The center console will perfectly hold a bottle on wine. No worries about taking a corner and having the bottle fly all over the place.
