Yesterday I had my first race day at Willow and I though I would get her a little track ready before the show. Many people on this forum already told me that Serge at Benz Works was the way to go, so thats the way I went.

So I called Rob at Vivid and had him send Serge a Renntech Intercooler, Brabus Paddle shifters, KW coil-overs and a new CF rear wing from Agency Power.

On Tuesday before the race I went over there for the first time and met the crew...great bunch of guys. We talked about the car and Serge recommended that we also add some new brake pads from Porterfield.

Friday, about 10 hours before I had to drive up to the track I picked up the car.
Friday, about 10 minutes after I began my drive home from Benz Works I realized that Serge was a genius. He dialed this car in in a way that I didn't know could be achieved and it was just amazing. The KW suspension and the new pads gave me a HUGE advantage on a track that has 9 turns...and it enabled me to hang with way lighter cars on the turns so I could pass on the straights...which I did often. It felt as if my baby lost a 1000lbs.

Doing all of these mods right before race day is a moronic thing to do I know, I know...but putting my faith in Serge paid off huge and no one outside of Benz Works will ever touch my car again.

I am going to create a thread with feedback on the individual mods themselves but what are the mods worth if not installed and dialed in properly.

Great write-up and couldn't agree with you more about Serge's service and expertise. He is phenomenal and I plan to continue to use Benzworks for all of my needs.

Also, it was a pleasure meeting you at the Willow event yesterday. Your car is an absolute monster and I look forward to your results as you continue to build it.

 

Simple install of KW coil overs, but Serge had me in and out in no time at all. Great work, friendly and delivered just what they promised... and I saw that he makes a mean burger out back of the shop for his fellas!

He absolute does- before he opened his private shop he was a certified tech at penske mercedes for years and worked on all models.

Which mod is doing this exactly...just the KW lowering kit? I don't know anything about this...sorry if it's a dumb question.

The guys @ Benz Works are the only ones that have touched my car and the only ones that will also. Serge & Nick are down to earth and know what they are doing! Great group of guys with TONS of knowledge. My car wouldn't be AND run like it did if it weren't for them!

 

And we will Dyno my car ASAP for final results once the vast majority of the above is complete...

Guys - I am even asking my wife if she needs anything from the store...then I come home and tell her I forgot somethings so I can take a few more runs. Last night I told her I needed gas before the AM to get out..
