stock CLS 55 wheels

I'm looking for a pic of stock CLS55AMG wheels powdercoated or painted gloss black. I tried searching but had no luck. Thanks in advance!

That's a link to the actual car in question. The owner, my friend, is a 70 year old guy and doesn't want any chrome on his wheels. Not even a black wheel with a nice chrome lip!!! So I thought of powdercoating his stock wheels gloss black. I think it'll look sweet, but he wants to see a pic first. I dont think I'd do it to my own car without seeing a photoshoped pic first either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know it says CLK 55 AMG on the top of the page. I have whoop my web designers *** for making that mistake. The guy doesn't know **** about cars. He got it right on the main page though. lol.

I don't like it you can't tell any of the lines of the design ( window design, wheels design...)

Oh ****!!! That look like ****. It doesn't look gloss black at all. Huge thanks for the pics. They help a lot. I am going to call Cory at Kleeman. He says he powdercoats a lot of AMG wheels gloss black and says they look great. The ones in the pic definetly dont look great. Maybee they were done flat black, or are just dirty with brake dust. Either way, I'm a no go if they are to look like that.

yup... sure looks like SH#$%! Stick with silver... i would stay away from chrome too!

By the way, either gloss or matte black, will look not much difference from this one. dont do it buddy!

Major Update!!!

The wheels have been powdercoated gloss black! The car now looks nothing short of BAD-***!!!! It really looks out of this world. I will get some good pics in the sunlight tomorrow after I have it detailed. The gloss black wheels make it look even lower and longer! It looks nothing like the dull black wheels in the pics above. One problem with the other car is that they put the silver center caps back in. It makes it look like ****. We ordered chrome center caps to see what they'd look like. If they dont look right, we will powdercoat or paint the stock silver center caps gloss black, but will make sure to mask off the chrome MBZ triangle symbol in the middle so there's still a little hint of chrome in the wheel. That along with the "Kleeman" chrome badges under where it says "V-8 Kompressor" will have just enough chrome on the side of the car to make it look perfect!

I finished the Kleeman K1 ECU/air filter's/crank pulley swap mid last week. I dropped the car off at my wheel shop before the weekend, and got it back yesterday with the wheels done. The stock shorty headers were removed today to install the Kleeman tubular headers tomorrow. Cory at Kleeman says the car should feel like a freight train with all these performance mods, about another 80-90HP more than stock.

Pics of Project "Sinister-CLS" coming tomorrow! That will be trademarked BTW. LOL.

wish you never went with the black wheels. the car is classy and having black wheels just really destroy the look. but... its your car and you're happy with it, so who cares what i think

by the way, did you dyno your car before and after the K1? I'm really thinking about doing it, but wanted to see some data first before jumping on the bandwagon.

P.S post some pictures please...

It's not my car, a customers. I do think it looks awesome. The owner is a 60 year old guy, no offense to anyone, and we didn't think blinged out wheels would fit his character or lifestyle. It looks just right. I never had a chance to get the pics today but you'll see it and hopefully change your mind. Hopefully I can get some decent pics tomorrow.

Here are pics of the "Sinister CLS" build-up! Low end torque is insane with the headers. This is coming from my mouth which has driven every crazy stock and way from stock car on Earth!

The pics dont so the black wheels justice. It looks OK in the pics, but looks downright mean and pissed off in person. What do you guys think???

yea, sorry... black wheels just not my thing I do admire all the modification you're doing though. just a little painful looking at a 2300 miles cls55 torn apart like that

cant wait to see the dyno on that beast!
