Well I just pulled the trigger on my new cls63 030. Should be here in about a week. I have never even driven the car but have been doing my research and I doubt so many people could be wrong. My expectations are high. Can anyone make suggestions as to the following mods:

lowering mod: carlosn, renntech or kleeman?

wheels: any good leads for a good price on some 20" Radenergie R10 wheels? Any suggestion on other wheels?

Front bumper add on lip- carlson seasm to be the fav from what I have read

Any suggestions on ECU flash- Dyno-comp's site states $3500, Wheel Power wants $2k and both claim 30 hp gain.

Any suggestions for good sources on little add ons- other than ebay and performance parts?

I know about the 537 hack and the ipod volume repair trick. Any other cool little tricks?

Thank you, Thank you

Congrats on your new purchase! Your over on the 6speed board aren't you?

The Renntech module is the bast bang for the $, and its adjustable.
Try www.formymercedes.com, I have the lighted AMG door sills, pick up the ipod kit cheap on ebay, have the dealer install it, when they install it have them do the volume fix at the time of install.
I haven't done any engine mods, car has so much power stock, 30 to 50 more HP isn't worth the BS of dealing with CEL issues and other items that dealer may or may not cover.

Congrats, I like where you are going.

Def get the R10 but do them in Anthratice, Carlsson lip would look subtle on the CLS.

I have an 07 cls63 w/ 030 in obsidian black. Adam at Euroelites just installed the Renntech lowering module in my glove box. Check out the thread tonights euroelites for pictures. The pics he took were at the current height I am driving it at being that I live in San Francisco and have to deal with its wonderful roads and hills. Will go lower though, I suggest you follow the trail I have blazed. Congrats on the purchase.
p.s. pm me what you are paying, I was on waiting list since May and ordered mine so I didnt get any break, curious if you got a dealer discount. Mine is p2 030 trunk closer with parktronic.

I haven't check out 6speedonline yet Kevin. I do appreciate all of your previous posts here. They really helped me out when deciding to buy this car w/o driving it. Your detailed posts are the reasons I know about the ipod fix and the door sills (which I plan to install upon arrival). I almost purchased a 55 because of your paddle install however that car would have cost me more than thi 63 hence my purchase. I question the ECU flash on a non-kompressor motor and will probably wait in this.

Thanks

Thanks! I love those wheels. Are they 11" in the back? Any problems with rubbing? Are those GFG's?

Thanks for the input. I like anthracite as well. Do you know of any pics of a silver CLS w/the anthracite R10's (or an other wheel for that matter)? I just want to see how the two colors look together. Thanks
