Heart Broken

I had been waiting in eager anticipation for my new baby. She arrived yesterday. I cant tell you how awful it was to see the car carrier destroy the front bumper in front of my very eyes. So close yet so far away. I can only relate this feeling to the time my ex-girlfriend kicked me in the junk. I only drove it 10 miles and then straight to the body shop. Bummer

Now you have a 94k car that has been damaged. If you ordered that one you could have ordered another one. There is absolutley no way I would have accepted that car.

OH MY GOD!!!
This very same thing happened to my buddies F430. he also took delivery.
I would not have. Very sorry to hear and see this. Disturbing. I think I am going to be sick.
It's a beautiful car though, congrats, and don't let it get to you. It can ruin your week or you can choose to enjoy it just the same. Looks like the bumper just poppoed out, should be an easy fix. Make sure they pay for it.

I quickly began to drown my sorrow with a few beers. I was holding back tears and a strong desire to decapitate the car carrier, all at the same time.

Thanks for the kind words. I feel the same way. Just trying to move on and looking forward to next Friday when she is repaired.

I bought it used (w/500 miles). I could have turned to the previous owner for compensation (Augustus Bush IV- Budweiser) but I feel that he gave me a good deal on the car and the carrier is paying for repairs.

I understand your point but I purchased the car used (w/500 miles). A new 63 030, fully optioned stickers at $113k plus taxes. There was no damage to any metal parts. I'm getting a new bumper all together. I couldn't wait any longer and I needed a new toy but I am very frustrated.

Oh, now it doesn't seem all that bad. It'll be fixed before you know it. These carriers are a bunch of jerks too. I'd be surprised if you could get any money from them. I wouldn't push it too much, it's not worth the stress to be honest wit you. Find out how much their bond is first.

So my buddies ordered TWO F430s. The first one came off the truck fine. But the second one rolled off too fast and crashed into the first one, effectively fcucking up both cars. They were pissed and they still took delivery. The cars look great now and you can't tell but man...

To think the delivery company made a max of $300 on that delivery (after expenses) and now they have to pay around $5K to fix this car. Losers.

Wow....with just 500 miles you were able to get $20K off the sticker price.
Thats good to know. I'm eyeballing a CLS63 that has 410 miles. Hmmmmmm

So sorry to see that, to bad he didn't use the Raise button... sad
Is the bumper completely ruined? or did he just bottom it out and the clips broke off? If you can salvage that factory bumper without repainting it that would be your best bet. No body shop can duplicate the special paint process that comes from the factory.

I actually put a zip tie on the bumper and you can hardly tell. Sure it is there and it sucks but a new bumper will be installed next week. No metal was bent so it will only be in the shop for a couple hours (so they claim).
