New 2006 CLS 55 ReNNtech stage5 030 pkg fully optioned
um...first of all... dealer just told me the production due date for the CLS 63 that ordered were delayed...and they will be more than happy to refund or give me some other options... first option is to wait for the cls63 that i ordered (fully optioned as well as designo, 030) or they can get the same car as mine that another dealer ordered for himself (not titled it's on the ship from the germany now) but the price will be MSRP with no discount which is $120,192 somewhat there. another option they offered was wait for the 2008 production schedule since i have to wait till august to get the car that i ordered, why not wait for 1 more month and get the 08 model with possiblly changed or added options. last option... that they were saying is the New 2006 CLS 55... it's a black/black and it has 030 pkg, all the options except distronic and ReNNtech state 5 upgrade by the dealer. and they offered me that the warranty starts from the day that i buy(of course) but the factory warrenty includes ReNNTech as well for 4 years! I think I heard something like they will offer some more of warrenty bonuses so on, the price of this CLS55...they are asking me 103,000 to 107,000... i assume i can negotiate a little bit more...(i'm thinking about 100,000) is this a good price?

Here's the calculation:
Retail for Renntech Stage 5: $14995
Labor: $1500 - $2000
So the car is under $90000 basically. Since its a 030 package, its definately a green light.
Plus, its warrantied by that dealer!![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

the factory warranty covers a stock car. you can get lucky and have things fixed under warranty but if you need a new motor or trans you will likely have an issue. MB is getting really strict with warranty work on modded cars and when they hear or see that its been upgraded they will likely deny any large claims because those always get flagged for field review by the regional rep.
The form for a new motor has a big section on if the car is stock and what to check and look for. MB has caught on and the car in question could have no warranty if things do not go your way.
But chances are it all would be fine.
edit.... If you get the car and for some reason you toast the motor or trans you are best off converting back to stock and then taking the car in and scratching your head. Ask if the OEM parts are still sitting around for that CLS55. If so make sure they give them to you!

On another note, sounds like your dealer is screwing with you on your ordered car, no way it would take until August to get your car, what reason is it delayed?

Sounds to me like the dealer sold your car to someone else, forgot to order it or something of that nature, but as far as the 55 with renntech, go for it. I have a kleemann upgraded 55 and its a monster. If you love that "slam you back in your seat" feeling that only 600+ pounds of torque can give you the upgraded 55 is the only way to go. Even if you could upgrade your 63 to that level (I don't think anyone has done that yet), the tranny isn't made for it. There is a reason the 65's still have a 5 speed and they waited for a lower torque engine to introduce the 7 speed in any amg model.

It must be the 55 in MB in sugarland tx. I bought my 55 from them in sept.
They tried to sell me that car for 120k at that time. That is a beautiful CLS w/ all that renntech. If I was in the market I would jump all over it.
Best of luck to you
