63 before and after resonator delete

After: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_1RLfCHzkU

It's a lot more impressive in person. The after sound is on a much noisier day (today) and it's hard to capture loudness with my camera. But believe me when I tell you it's at least twice at loud and taking off in 1st and 2nd gear is ridiculously loud. I love it. Turns heads everywhere I go now.

Murtaza and Christopham heard it last night and they can attest as of course bluemonster ...

Are you going to post DIY instructions like you did with the charcoal
filters?

This isn't something you wanna do yourself, take it to a muffler shop or if you're local in OC I'm sure BlueMonster will hook you up. Just make sure you tell whoever does it to keep your resonator after he chops it off in case you want to put it back on some day.

If that's the case, you would definitely need those puppies for when the car is sold or in 3 years to pass CA Smog Emission Testing.

I think you've got the Resonator and the CATs mixed up. We didn't remove any CATs as far as I am aware, just the resonator. And I could be wrong but I believe that is just used to kill some sound. Shouldn't effect emissions much if any. Anyone out there know for sure?

That is sweet.....can this be done on other models? Does the W209 CLK55 have a resonator?

This is what I got out of the boards here.
You gain more top end due to more free flowing exhaust, but you may lose some Torque due to loss of back pressure.
I think thats what I got out of it.

It is mostly for sound. We tested a 55 with and without resonator, there was no power difference at any point of power graph.
