Quad 8000k Xenon conversion

ok, so i had my fogs and driving lights upgraded to 8000k bulbs. man o man, it is sweet... it's now super bright and makes a world of difference. side markers and the inner driving lights was swapped out as well.

color is a tad less blue than pictured. I cant seem to get my camera to shoot right. The color is about the same, as when you first turn on the stock xenon bulbs.

Kevin,

for the fogs, they converted it to xenon, therefor you'll need 2 ballast for it. for the driving xenon lights, you'll just need swap it with 8000k. markers and the two inside lights are just regular bulbs with more blue to it.

I also tried out the 6000k, side by side with 8000k. the 6000k was just not blue enough, once its lit for a few minutes. (sorta look like the stock xenon color).

I'm not too savy messing around with wiring, but i'm sure it would be a piece of cake for you. hardware and installation done by Carlabs (aka SonicMS) in san jose. Just call and ask for Darwin @ 408.718.2986, he'll know exactly what you need. http://www.carlabms.com/

sorry, i totally forgot to ask what brand bulbs

P.S I copied and painted the rear diffuser. looks so much better imo... probably going to black out the rear lights this weekend too.

OK thanks, I'll give him Darwin a call, I rarely use my fog lights, so I'll probably just get the side marker bulbs.
Thanks!

Looking! (previous: CLS55)
Does anyone know the specs or a specific brand to use for the side marker bulbs? Other threads have talked about the CLS being very sensitive to the bulb specs, and I don't want any problems when I swap mine. I just installed the clear side marker lenses, but when the lights come on, they're pretty yellowish...I'd like a more white light if possible.

Looks pretty good*

* But keep in mind that 8000K puts are far less lumens than stock HID's (5300K), which is far closer to the sun's natural color.

Most probably PIAA would be a safe bet. Try This: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/bulbS...NZ~-CLS500.htm

Nice! I like the bulb color of the side marker. Two questions tho....

1. Where can you get the clear side marker? I have searched E-bay and only found one seller.

2. What kind the bulb did you use for your side marker light? Brand, size....

By the way, anybody know the light bulb size for the parking light in the headlight?

Greatly appreciated!

I didnt even know we have a battery under the hood . They didnt run any extra wires to the battery. You just use the existing wires from your current fogs. Just give Darwin a call, i'm sure he'll be happy to assist.

You'll love the 8k bulbs. They actually installed the 5k side by side with the 8k. the 5k was a bit too white, so i went with 8k. the color just makes the car looks sick as hell at night. major head turner
