Not sure about the cls driver cause I kept up evenly wit a murcie from 70-120. Nice run specially for an Audi engine.

 

w/o any comments on the relative abilities of the drivers, the "race" was a no-match. Nada. Nishto. No contest. results speak for themself.

 

There is 3 vids, two from a 40-50 roll and the last from a 20mph roll. I think these results were expected. You have one car at 4000lbs with 507hp and one at 3500lbs with 520-530hp. Good race and nice to see. I just love the sound of the gallardos with exhaust.

 

Sounds like the stock SE exhaust to me. Those cars do sound amazing!

 

I thought the CLS was fast, turns out its a bit of a pig.

 

It's likely much quicker than what you drive. E63 is faster but CLS is still "fast."

 

how come you cannot hear the engine of the CLS? Likely because Mr. Lambo's buddy was not WOT?

This race is as staged as any I have ever witnessed. I know the 63 is LOUD at full throttle and you can certainly here it also when hitting the pedal the car will violently move out unlike the one you were filming in? I will personally drive down to AZ this weekend and bring my wallet, you will not be able to recreate this result vs mine or Sams car , nice try

flippen 63 weighs near 4600 #lbs and looks like it was CARRYING A PASSENGER!!!

Jeez add some more weight.

no drag strips, real driving, on real roads. I think this will be fun. You will never make it if you have to drive from So. Cal. Its like 6 hours.

Could you get the owner of the supposed 63 to come post some pics of him and his ride also the weights of him and his passenger? I will contact some Benz guys in AZ to come out and play

 

the lambos do ok from a roll surprisingly, but that was far from an even match putting those two together, that being said i am a bit surprised at how badly it did rip from the 63.

 

LOL, its easy when one driver has on the cruise control.

That race is so bad it makes it seem staged. I know the SE is faster but leaving the car as if it is stopped? nope

Your request has been granted. This race was not staged and I am the owner of the CLS. I also own a gallardo sypder and could have told all of you here that even my spyder weighing in at 300 Lbs. more than the G coupe does that the race would not even be close. Allan pleaded to get me out so he could get a video of it and I told him it would be no contest. I drive both these cars on and off everyday (the G and the CLS 63) there is nothing you can say anymore at this point. The CLS is fast but its just too heavy to keep up with the G's. I was in the correct gear at the correct RPM's in manuel mode. There was no mistake on any of the 3 races on my part. You can all say what you want........ but this is coming from an acutal MB CLS 63 owner................its no where near as fast a G.

 

Dude you have no clue what your talking about. The G is a very quick car. I used to own an E55 AMG and I can tell you that car seems faster than the CLS 63 does. The MB's are just heavy......all of them except the SLR and Allan owns an SLR.

what exactly is ironic? THe SE is definitley a fast car and the CLS is not. ACCEPT the truth.

 

To be honest,I am shocked by the performance of that SE vs CLS.
I would never expect that much improvement over early Gallardo,I was so disappointed with the performance of my '04 E-Gear next to my daily driver at the time ('03 E55) that I got rid off it after just 3 months.
Based on these vids we are talking different level of performance altogether...
