softening suspension on 2006 CLS55 AMG

I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for asking a question like this, but I live in NYC and the roads here are super rough, 90% of the time I'm getting really pounded. I'm looking for a cost effective way to reset the suspension to a softer setting similar to a cls500. I love the 469hp but the ride is just a little too stiff for me, can anyone help?
Thanks

cheap way to go is (if you still have your stock 19"s) is to let about 4-5 lbs out of your tires....handling will not be 100% and your tread wear will suck...but your fillings won't fall out and your kidneys wont hurt as much...

turn off sport suspension and put it in comfort mode. Make sure you have good tires that help combat rode noise and harshnes, right tire psi and lastly maybe try elevating the car.... but not sure what the purpose of this button is exactly and if it was meant for daily driving

The button is next to the suspension setting button and has a pic of a car with an arrow pointing up!

i use it when i do not want the car to scrap when going up and down very high pumps

you will feel the car lifting up when you press it and can see the changed higher position of the car

hope this helps

I've checked my tires, they are at 32 psi already, if I go too soft I'm afraid I'll bend the rims over even small potholes, plus the tires might get very hot due to increased rolling resistance. As much as I love the look of the 19's I'm thinking of finding a set of 18" and going to cls500 tire sizes. Still I'm afraid I need the softer dampening rates of the cls500 programming. Any other ideas out there? is there a seperate module somewhere that could be reflashed somehow? Maybe installing some resistors inline at the wheel sensors to fool the existing brain? Again, all ideas are welcome
Thanks

try avoiding the bumps. go for the 18 inch wheels and adjust your tires to 30 psi.

I agree with Hatem. Try rim 18's. Most of the roads where I live are much worse than in NYC and I had the same "stiff" problem with my suspension, so I switched to 18's...problem solved

my opinion is that you could fine a cls500 to trade wheels/tires with easy enough, but i don't believe that will make you happy. if you have 32 psi now and you are driving around wishing it would be softer, you may want to switch it up to the e55. its got the ride you are looking for.

You name it i've had it or got it...
Keep SUS on lowest setting would be your best option...or get a different car. I don't know how much softer you want...but to me the cls55 sus in the stiffest mode is already too soft for my liking. To each his own I guess...

the lowest setting is comfort and in my opinion is way to soft, definately switch tires to 18 that way you get more tire then rim. The raise button is only for rain once you go over 5 miles per hour the car automatically lowers again so that won't work.
