Experiences with finding 305/25/20 tires?

I am ordering a set of wheels and am looking to run 20x9 front 20x11 rear. The tire setup I was going to go with was a 245/30 front with a 305/25 rear. The problem is the rear tires seem to be extremely difficult to get a hold of. I talked to my tire guy and he said that the Yokohama's, Nitto's and Conti's are all on back order. The only tire he could get me for sure would be the Falken Fk-452. Has anyone else had experience waiting for a backorder to come through? I wont have the wheels for probably a couple of months, but not sure even with the backorder if I will get the tires in time. So that leaves me with the Falken option, which is a tire I am not at all familiar with. I have read some reviews, but they seem pretty mixed. Any input would be helpful.

Conti, Pirelli, Yokohama all on backorder.

I can get the Falken FK452's, no problem. They are good tires. We have sold it to plenty of our customers, and never one complaint.

As far as backorders go, it happens. Sometime's only a few weeks, to a few months. You can never tell.

I blew out one of my rear ContiSport's on Monday. My car has had a spare ever since...305.25.20 I can't find. I ordered a full set of Nitto Neo Gen's to replace it so I don't have mix matched tires. haha!

I actually like the NeoGens alot, and I've had every tire on my CLS, they seem to ride the smoothest IMO, and they're cheap!

I ran into the same problem with Conisport. Soonest I could get one was about 6 weeks. I was on a donut for about 2 weeks myself. I ordered a set of the Faulkens and I am very pleased so far

I have tried them all. Cont 3's is the way to go. You spend all that $$$ on the car so order one extra of each tire. It's that easy

I have a screw in the shoulder area of one of my 305/25/20 Conti 3's that cannot be patched. It loses about 2 lbs of air a day.

These have been on back order at Tire Rack for what seems like forever. I've been tempted to go with Nitto or Falken but really have liked the Conti 3's. Had the Pirelli PZero Nero before that and was not impressed with traction or noise. And they inner tread was gone after 8k miles. The Conti 3's have about 9k miles on them now and there is plenty of tread left even with a lot of negative camber from the lowering module. Traction was noticeably better with the Conti 3's than the Pirelli also, making it easier to launch the monster! With the Pirelli I would always lose traction when trying to launch, later finding a mess of splattered rubber all over my fenders and doors...

Hopefully Continental will ship out some 305/25/20 Conti 3's soon, I'm getting tired of topping off the air in the screwed tire on a daily basis!
