Hey fellow 19 to 20'ers...
Did you get an alignment done after you switched to 20's ?
I might be getting some new wheels this weekend and I wanted to know if I need to get an alignment done asap ?
thanks!

I just changed from the stock 19's to 20's...the old tires were wearing very evenly...no pulling or indication of alignment issues...so, I just swapped them out...
It's been about two weeks...everything is tracking straight...and wear seems to be even...only time will tell...
My opinion is if everything was okay prior to the change of wheels, then everything should be okay after as well...unless of course some suspension components are changed or adjusted, then I'd have an alignment...just my $.02.

I put on 20s and lowered my CLS. I have quite a bit of uneven wearing after 14k miles. The rear tires, especially right side, have significantly more wear on the inside.

That's why I suggested that anytime you change wheels, you need to go ahead and set it up right. It's not a honda civic(don't mean to offend). These are expensive cars. Be proactive-spend a little bit, so you don' have to spend alot later. Get the four wheel alignment and while they're doing that, ask them to lower the car using the star dignostics to give it a flush look.

Based on the replies here and some others, I've come to a sort of general conclusion, that changing just the wheels may/may not need an alignment, but if you lower the car with the new wheels, you will 100% require an alignment
