So I pulled up along his side and then powered ahead and cut in front of him so that he could see I was in a true AMG.
When he caught up to me at the next light, he checked me out and clearly looked embarassed as he said to me "nice ride".
So no... we should have no respect for posers. I can't believe the post in the other tread about 55 to 63 badging...

Changing the model # from 500/550 to 55/63 or like the other person that wanted to change from the 55 to 63 is misleading and unnecessary IMO. When I took delivery of my car the dealer offered to put the AMG badge on mine and they said they had done that on a few CLS that they sold already! Hey, think about it, $30 would be the cheapest and easiest mods that the 500/550 owners can do to their rides

And no, I personally opted not to put that on my 550. Just my $.02.

Dealers are scum and will do anything to make a buck, they don't care. I bet they'd put on an M badge if you wanted.

But nonetheless i think its stupid to badge a car at all! looks so much better without it.
