sorry ive been out of town.
anyways, as XRX mentioned the CLS AMG CF rear diffuser is going along as planned.
hopefully there will be some pics in the next couple week or 2 of the progress made so far.
this one will also take into account the curve of the rear bumper (unlike the straight one mentioned above). CF has no flex so it cannot be bent, so it has to be made with the curve taken into account in order for it to conform to the rear bumper and fit right.

good stuff, things have been busy here so I am having to put mine on hold at the mo. Just curious but I assume you didnt use the insert you took off the car, Its so weak it doesnt hold the curve, did you take a mould of your bumper?

haha same. im barely posting on the rrs board as well.
much more focused on doing more engine mods on the 55.
i think u are going to find the m3 too underpowered after being spoiled in the 55. hehe

interesting! thanks for that find.
its hard to tell how it looks without seeing the rest of the car. i worry that its a bit much for the lines of the car.
i kinda reminds me of the Carlsson rear bumper which i sent back.
anyways, do u have more pics of it?
id really love to see more of it.
also any details on pricing and what is required to install it?

i take back what i said!
that just looks wrong, especially the direct view from the rear on the link u posted.
those fins go way too low. with that mod u can take your cls on to some farm land and then till the damn field!
the price is ridiculous as well. $2500 can give u some great performance mods, and thats what really counts.

The mould would be based on this design, based on a C63. I am waiting for the guys who make the tooling to get me a cost. Because its a custom part they have to make an overlay tool for the CF process, not as simply as making a rep of a OEM part. I am expecting to pay approx $1500 for the tool, but the more CF parts I can get them to make, the better the price per piece. I think i will keeping going and keep you updated.
Damn, That looks so good. Better than the current plastic piece. I hate that part of the car. Any updates?
