How long will this special last? $3295 for a pulley belt and ecu flash is just silly. I can stomach $1645

Best,

I think the Kleemann software has the best price already on the market. The headers are almost $1500. You should see 65hp at the crank with the Kleemann software.

Give me a call and I will send you the parts. you will need to remove the ECU and send it out thought to be flashed.

Wisconsin too for that matter.

The work looks easy enough, but I'd imagine the ECU must be pulled and sent out. Where's it located and what's the removal procedure?

If I'm not mistaken, every mb ecu takes about 5 minutes or less to remove except for the ML. They should all be located under the windshield wiper cow except for the C63 which is underneath the cabin filter box on the passenger/fire wall side of the engine bay corner.

Now why wouldn't you just buy the kit and get your car dyno tuned... every engine is different, I just don't see how a standardized software tune will be that great. My car puts down stock 427rwhp and just over 470rwtq on a dyno dynamics. I believe I'm already ahead of the game and would feel that a ecu tune for a 55 with only 380rwhp stock wouldn't do me justice...

These tunes are actually custom. Each ECU that is sent to Kleemann USA, is downloaded and emailed to Kleemann DK, Modified, and then sent back to Kleemann USA for uploading. They also happen to be the experts when it comes to Mercedes. Almost everyone I know whose tried to put piecestogether (parts and software from different people) have run into issues and from previous experience sometimes you end up having the software people blame the parts people and the parts people blaming the installer and the installer blaming everyone else lol and the customer is left hanging with a car thats not working properly and doesn't know who to blame.

I have to say my brother's (hoolamonster) CLS is a very stout car for being 100% stock. Any tune IMO is a waste of money if you dont get a dyno tune. It would be foolish to think you can get a mail order tune for your car and have it be dialed in. I've never seen it.

No beef's with Kleemann at all, just saying the car needs to be dyno tuned hands on. If what you're saying is that Kleemann will do custom tunes and work with the dyno tuner sending files back and forth, not mailing out your ECU, that makes sense and is how it should be done. However, there is not really an logic to support sending an ECU out to be reprogramed being that my car for example is much stronger than most stock. CUSTOM is all I'm saying...

Kleemann does their dyno tuning in Denmark with their parts on each Mercedes. So unless you have custom mods done to the engine to make it stronger each CLS55 engine should be the same from the factory minus the wear and tear ofcourse. I see what your getting at but there isn't a custom dyno tuner in every city so to custom tune a car based on its current mileage and wear and may not be an option for most. But kleemann's software and part packages are very reliable for everyday use.

I got no problem with Kleemann either. The make good stuff. I guess I'm just dead set on dyno tunes are the only way. Now what my brother said makes sence. If Kleemann is willing to send files back and forth while a car sits on the dyno, that is a great way to do it. And the only way you are going to get the car dialed in

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if you see some Kleemann gear on my car in the near future...

If you don't have dyno then your a missing out IMHO... so you can get everything out of your after market upgrades. But my car is great example that Throston or whoever built my engine over at AMG must have been having some fun on the job!

Either way great prices on the engine components!
