And is their price negotiable?

yep, thats about how much i paid (i think 4200) for the mb extended warranty.

(a lot of 3rd parties done do amg. i almost bought a cna warranty, to be told at the last minute that they dont do amg's)

Is it still possible to get an extended warranty one month before the manufacture warranty expires?

I believe that the $4k price is within the 1st year of new car purchase, then increases 10% every year thereafter up until the last year of factory warranty.
The longer you wait, the more it costs.

The longer you wait, the more it costs.
When I purchased mine, this had changed. Now, there is a shorter period relative to the in-service date and then it goes up and remains the same for the warranty period. It no longer increases year by year. However, prices can change and so can the rules surrounding the purchanse so wait at your own risk!
