I third that. I think the TT is fugly, the 350z is nice, but the 370z is gorgeous compared to the 350z IMO.

370z is technically a 2010 model right? so that wouldn't qualify i guess.

I'm actually surprised a lotus isn't on there. or the 911

yes the new 370 is pretty nice, more like the old school 280z style.
and the new TT looks better than the old one.

The CLS is a gorgeous car. I would have been surprised if it didn't make the all time list...

CLS55 plus a few Ducati's
For me it has to be in the top 3 or 4 cars of the last decade, not just in the top ten. As FullThrottle says, every time I look at it I think wow!. The new CLS does not have the same effect for sure. I think our cars will still look fantastic in 10 years time. Have not had any reliability issues with mine (watch out... now I have jinxed myself!) so I am very happy.

A key car that is missing here is the Zonda. Not since the Countach has something this stunning and unique to look at hit the automotive scene.

Also, the Pagani story is great. They come out of no where with a car that is right up there with the best that Ferrari & Lamborghini have to offer.

Sure there are faster cars, but this is the only one that looks like it could be souped up wih laser beams

FT- Odd that your having problems...I've never (knock on wood) had any issues other than, keyless start button rubbed off, and the plastic film in front of the rear wheels yellowed. Both replaced by dealer.

It really does not matter to me, the car is loads of fun. Fixing stuff just comes with the territory. No other car has been as satisfying as the total package of my CLS. I regret nothing and in about a month when all her mods are done i will be even more happy.

I have to go with Full_Throttle on this one; mine has been plagued with quality issues--but I love it nontheless!

3 cracked wheels
Pass window regulator
Fuel leak in backseat
NAV Failues (blue screen death)
Cup holder chrome pealing off
Dash wood panel cracking at mounting points
Center speaker crackling

are your wheels real merc wheels? (not knock offs?)
if they are real, then u might want to look into how you drive and where to take care on the roads, also are you lowered?

Pass window regulator
do you mean the knocking sound?
there is a recall for this

Fuel leak in backseat
Recall fix, it was sent with a mandatory letter to get it done

NAV Failues (blue screen death)
what did it cost to fix if you do not mind me asking?

Cup holder chrome pealing off
No cup holder in Euro n middle east spec

Dash wood panel cracking at mounting points
Strange never heard of this

Center speaker crackling
all or just one?
Now after reading through these...am sorry but these are hardly plagued with issues calibre that would classify them as serious, in my opinion that is..no offence intended

Things like Engine/ tranz/ suspension etc are the real important things

Hey Zod:
I'll try to answer these the best I can. To set the proper perspective we purchased this car off a lease; which is where I messed up--I didn't see the original title date (Feb 2005) for a 2006 so the warranty was up when we bought it.

As for maintenance, I took this car to Mercedes of Tampa and they handled the repair work as well as delivered the bad news on warranty items.

3 cracked wheels

Factory rims--found dozens of posts about these wheels cracking and a lot of discussion on their durability in cold weather. Now, I live in Florida; but the car came down from NJ

Pass window regulator

No, the window literally stuck in the partial up position and I had to have the regulator replaced.

Fuel leak in backseat
Recall fix, it was sent with a mandatory letter to get it done
Not according to the dealership here, in March 09--they took a nice peice of my paycheck on this one, too!

NAV Failues (blue screen death)
what did it cost to fix if you do not mind me asking?
I was estimated a $1-2K fix. Needless to say I didn't do it. The NAV in these isn't sophisticated enough to warrant that kind of money.

Cup holder chrome pealing off
No cup holder in Euro n middle east spec
LOL! That just struck me funny for some reason.

Dash wood panel cracking at mounting points
Strange never heard of this
Yeah, you can literally see the mounting tabs across the face where the small 1/2" cracks are. But, no warranty so that's that.

Center speaker crackling
all or just one?
Just this one. Strangely enough, it doesn't do it all the time, just now and then. Volume doesn't matter, I typically play low to mid-range at most and it seams to have more to do with the frequency than amplitude. Just my thoughts.

Hey thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it. I'm well versed in the Corvette arena where I own several; but am just now learning about these cars and appreciate any education I can get.
Thanks again and take care!

Agreed, I think it was a weak attempt at including something that the average guy could afford.

I can't believe the C6 Z06 wasn't included...
