Extended warranty
I reference to my first post, I got this CPO CLS63 2007 last week. I'm wondering if I should extend my warranty? Mine is up Nov. 2011. Car is in good shape, 28K miles. It was a lease return vehicle from the same dealership I bought it from, so they had all the maintenance info, though that's in the Carfax anyway. I see what they did for reconditioning, they spent about $3000 replacing parts and what not (their cost).
Wondering what others have done. Extended warranty is kind of pricey, but then I suppose fixes are also. I would assume problems are mostly with electronics. I can see the trunk closer, or the sun shade going fairly quickly.
I will admit I bought the rim and tire warranty, having had experience previously with low profile tires, I thought it might come in handy.
Any advice appreciated.
I paid $4,850 for the additional 2 years.
I too bought the Wheel and tire package. I paid $700 (negotiated rate) This is probably the 1st time I've taken the plunge on something like that. I have had 19'' rims in the past and in Los Angeles, you're bound to have multiple blowout over the course of 3 years. My dealer actually told me that they will resurface my rims if I curb rash them. Something tells me that he was full of **** (I will need to confirm that).
But having a zero deductible warranty though MB seems to be ideal. I've looked into the easy care program and was told by one of their dealers that I was nuts if I was thinking of going with easy care vs. the MB warranty. (And they told me to buy the warranty from the dealer i bought the car from rather than try to sell me their easy care warranty.) I'm going to get a easycare quote on my car as well, but I think i'll still go with the MB warranty.

I drive all around southern california, mainly Los Angeles, and the roads are crap (except for orange county where the roads are nice). Having had low profiles and Volk rims on my last car, I figured I get into a problem with these wheels eventually, so I bought that.
I was told the same thing, if I curb the rims they will fix it.
I will look into the MB Warranty.

Anyway this is what you need to do, go to their website and fill out the form. Dont' pay for it, just get a quote. Then you will receive an email from Michael with the quote. Then all i did was email him and told him exactly what i wanted and he adjusted everything and sent me a new quote. I never got him on the phone, i only called him once though. Others have talked to him and said that he was very nice and efficient.
I also financed it so worst case if they do go under, i'll just dispute it with American Express but i really have no worries with that.
Just ask me if you have any more questions.
Thanks
