Quick question.

in comparison from a regular cls seat to a AMG version CLS are the seats any different other than the alcantera inserts?

i recently rode in a friends BMW with sports package that has bolstered seats and is real snug and confortable. Makes the driving experience that much better when cornering.

I was wondering does the AMG version of CLS have bolstered seats vs a regular CLS? For example, i know the new C-Class C63 has those carbon fiber race seats.

Just wanting to know becuase i'm looking to purchase a CLS63.

The cl63 amg does have the bolstered seats. The regular amg do not have them they have the normal seats. When are you getting the cls?

how about cls55 seats? are they the same bolstered?

If I'm not mistaken, all (new/recent) AMG seats have much more bolstering, including the CLS.

the bolsters in the AMG are pretty good, especially if you have the Dynamic Seat option.
Dynamic keeps you in place like no other.

Yep, mine squeeze me till I fart, even more when I start cornering with the dynamic seats.

lets not forget that the leather on the amg is MUCH nicer than the regular cls.

In mine they are "multi contoured" seats. There's an extra control panel underneath the seat that fills the "bladders" for extra seat cushion, lumbar and mid support, and side support- which can really lock you in. There is no side handle, like on non-amg. At least it's that way with the 2007 CLS63. It's good, as good a seat as I've ever sat in.

hmm.. is it possible to retrofit the AMG-seats in a non-amg CLS?
And do anyone know the retail-price per seat?

Im pretty sure its possible but it will be pricey. I dont know if it will really be worth it. I know jrcart got european racing seats for his black series.

Does CLS63 come with the side bolsters that inflate/deflate according to driving direction like on the W221? On that little panel below the seat I dont see dynamic or pulse like the W220....was that an option?

yeah, the pulse and dynamic are an extra option. Standard 63 seats just have the inflatable bolsters and leg support.

I thought on 63's there was only ipod/parktronic option....hardly saw any with the drive dynamic seats

okay, maybe you are right. i must have gotten confused reading older posts. seems like it was an option on the 55's?

think you can also get distronic as an option o the 63's.

Is that the D+ or regular Dist? Can anyone confirm to the option list of 63's? (from MBUSA that is not ROW) thanks

I think it's only regular Distronic. I'm pretty sure the CLS hasn't received Distronic Plus yet.
