REAR BRAKE PADS
have any members fitted pads other than benz ones? if so feedback would be good.
do the rear pads have wear sensors? cos ive been told that my rears are at 10% remaining but ive had no warning lights.
thanks

Where do you get your pads from udwanit2? I've been looking at ebc brakes, the yellowstuff ceramics seem to match what I'm after, any one have them on their ride? Or even redstuff for that matter? The brake dust is just annoying!!! I haven't had any problems with the brake squealing, mine are nice and quite
Any idea when I the pad wear warning light should pop up?

I think the Yellow Stuff is for track and it requires a heating up period so they achieve full stopping performance. Check out the technical bulletin on EBC site which indicates a high value of friction for their pads which makes them better than most.
Do they make the pads to fit with the P030 package for the fronts?

I tried to convince myself that they felt as good OEM pads/rotors, but now realize the they didn't!
FWIW, I had no problems with squealing or brake dust with the EBC pads.
There are quite a few reviews out there where others concluded that EBC pads are too "harsh" on rotors.
Hope this helps.

-Overheating
-Inferior metallurgy
I replace the rotors at the same time pads are needed, even though not required which means about every 30K or so. If you have existing rotors with new pads and not changing the rotors, there is a high probability of warping, especially if the rotors are not removed and resurfaced. If going to the extent of resurfacing, just install new rotors. I bet if brake jobs are done that way, warping would be eliminated.
Don't forget to flush the brake fluid and replace with new (front and rears)
If short cuts are taken, driver beware!
does anyone know what the procedures are for changing rear brake pads... my cars going in on 28th.... im confident that that this particular garage know what they are doing but i would get peace of mind quizzing them before handing over the keys.

the brake fluid has already been mentioned.... however this was changed at my last service at benz around 3 months ago... will it still need doing?
i have already brought a new wear sensor for the rear.... any info will be helpful
thanks
