CLS Hood badge

Anyone change their hood badge?
I got a 61mm from JBSPEED, just wanted to see if anyone has done it. I was inspecting the hoodbadge on the CLS and its different from my W210 which twists out, it looks like the CLS is stamped in there.

I've always wanted an orange tree on my hood. J/k. Looks nice.

I don't think that's the pic of it on his black car. Please post pics after you install, want to see how the larger size looks on your hood. Thanks!

Last time I checked, all of the badges were for the w211. The CLS hood badge is a tad bigger than the 211 one. Let me know if that one fits, I want one

I have not installed it, that pic is the stock pic from JBSPEED. It the 61mm so it will fit right into place, Im kinda leery about taking the stock one off because it seems to be pressed into place.

I think the CLS hood badge is similar to my R that I've replaced. On MBs that have the standing star standard (or a combo of standing star/ flat star such as the new C) it's a twist and pop in method. However, on cars that are all flat star such as the CLS, all SUVs, SL, etc. they are simply pushed into the hood with two plastic pins (similar to how the rear emblem is installed on the trunk). You simply need to gently pry the emblem up from the outside and it will pop off.

I ordered the one from Japan on eBay where it says "JAPAN QUALITY" in the images. If you can wait, check out mine in person and see how you like it. IMO the quality's decent enough but not OEM spec.

Got the same one from EBay. Lists Japan quality. Some of the others I looked at were to large. To remove the original, just pop the hood and slowly push the pins from below the emblem. The OEM is plastic, don't brake then pins. The Japan emblem is metal.
