WTB....CLS55

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get back into a Mercedes and i'm looking for a 2006 CLS55, i'm open to most colors of exterior and interior. I'm open to whatever options. I'm also open to modded cars. My biggest thing though, i want a car w under 20k miles.

PM me if you're thinking about selling. If you're asking some retarded dollar amount for your car then dont bother PMing me. I'm a serious buyer and im not trying to lowball anyone. I'm willing to pay fair money for a super low mile car.

thanks....

Why post this and then shoot me a low ball offer on one of the lowest and cleanest ones around?

the strokers are always out there! - everywhere- i have guys trying to offer me 42k for my 09 c63 w 3k miles - LOL -- and also the same thing happens with lower priced and higher priced cars in my inventory - but in regards to the cls55 i was just going to put it up in between his and your pricing but haven't done anything yet waiting to see how the market is and what sells and doesn't - may just drive it a little for the up coming summer - not sure - compared to autotrader.com pricing (there are cars on there suppper over priced and not sure if they are selling either) - there is also another black one on ebay that has like 16k and hes asking 44.5k for his - not sure what kind of action he is getting on his - and i also didn't forget about you and your exhaust just haven't decided what i wanna do yet.

No worries. Sold the exhaust last weekend and bought a brand new CLS55 exhaust from MB for $2500. I have Kleemann headers and stock everything else and it sounds absolutly perfect.

I shot you the same offer actually...He sent it to you the same time I did since we were both looking for CLS's. But my plans have changed since Im going to start my build on another truck that we might use for SEMA 11.

But DKM is/was a serious buyer. You didnt really have to post that in his thread bud. He is not at all a person to throw a offer out there just for ****s and giggles. Sometimes you really never know who that person is thats throwing you an offer. You could of just kept it in pm. And before you go on about if I know him, yes I actually do. He is a really close friend. But I will say your car is really clean and is a really good deal. Wish you luck with it, just couldnt stand around and let you say nonsense with out a reply.

Talk about mature. All I did was ask a simple question. No offense should have been taken. When a car is already priced low and someone comes in 3k lower, I consider that lowball. That is a term not a insult. I have had offers of 35k and thoes are specifically what I was talking about as far as tirekickers. You actually said you were gonna call and never did. Was not trying to insult anyone. Either way good luck with you search.

DKM, I know where Marcus is coming from here. Take a look at what he's offering. His car with the low miles would be a good deal if it was stock. Now throw all the mods, the Kleemann upgrades are probably valued at $5,000 minimum, the extra D2 wheels are $4,000, the tires on those wheels are $1,000. Add in the black out work, etc... Honestly, if you find the same car with the low miles stock and get it for $42K and then you add all the mods you're looking at probably about $10K to $15K in add ons bare minimum. You have to admit that to offer less than $44K for the car is a "low ball" offer.

I will agree that if Marcus' car was stock $42K would be a fair offer. But you have to admit that with all the Kleemann mods, the D2 Wheels (in addition to the stock wheels), the new tires on the D2 Wheels, and the other mods, this car at $44,900 is a steal and anything less than $44K is a "low ball" offer (not that there's anything wrong with that). Marcus just called a spade a spade here. It was not an insult, just an observation.

No matter what, I wish you best of luck finding the car of your dreams. I'll tell you, you can't go wrong with a CLS55!

Cheers!

Even though it was a one year car the market is very SOFT on CLS55'S.
I was at the Manheim Riverside auction a few weeks back and saw some nice cars go cheap. I think it's alot of car for the $ esp with prices ranging from 30-44k.

I don't care about Manheim or any other auction.....my car is a complete steal at that price. I'm about fed up with the wanna be. I posted some in my for sale thread for 39 and they all have 50k or more on miles. The problem is forums are filled with a lot of dreamers. I'm not saying DKM is one of those but there are tons here.

Iam at 2-3 Manheim sales every week here on the east coast buying and selling and there are alot of cars weekly. you get what you pay for - everyone pushes the prices up on the rare/good stuff/etc - this can be seen at last weeks "hundred grand" sale in palm beach - i paid alittle more than usual but the pieces were mint - just my thoughts

Emoving are you selling your car to make room for the new TT5.5 CLS? If not what are you getting? Your car is slick, glws.

I've found this effective at dealing with online lowball offers. Works over and over too.

Looks like a real enthusiast owned it, mismatched front to rear tires and all. Thats ok, the rears look pretty bald so now is your chance to match them up. Center cup holder has all the chrome peeled off and the kick plate getting into the car looks beat. Not bad for 45000 miles though. Imagine the things wrong with it in person.

I'm sure somebody will buy your car(it looks like a beauty) but it doesn't mean that every other CLS55 that's for sale with 50,000 miles isn't QUALITY.
For some buyers they would rather spend 30-35k and buy a nice -quality car
with average miles and spend 10-15k less.

I'm sure the right guy will step up to buy a car like yours with the lo mileage
since so few exist. Best of luck!

I guess my point is this car has 45k and it is the same price people offered me for a 19k car. So with that being said, they will expect to pay $29000 for this car. My other point is that I would expect the person that owns a car like this to at least have the common sence to put a full new set of tires on a car when due or AT LEAST match the tires. I wouldnt buy a Honda with out matching tires. Shows the mind set of the owner when it comes to spending money on the car for NORMAL maint. better yet preventative maint. Makes you wonder what else the cheaped out on like service. Oh and by the way, my car sold Friday to a member who I am sure will speak up once he gets the car shipped.

AZBENZ..that pic was taken in Las Vegas(of your white lambo)? I've seen that listing on Ebay(of the 030 CLS). I'm actually looking at 4 different cars with less 15k miles. Theres actually quite a few of them. The money on them are where I want to be also. I also found a couple super low mileage E55's. Its easy to buy a car...its a lot harder to sell a car. Thanks for the heads up AZ.
