Newie to the Forum - just bought a cls55 AMG
I've just bought a cls55 amg last week. It's 2006 black with black leather. It's got the 19" 5 spoke AMG wheels and I'm loving apart from the mpg! Lol
Anyway I was advised by a forum in the UK that this is the best forum for the cls55 amg. So here I am. Hopefully I could learn lots from you all about the car and when I've saved a little more money the mods I could do. It fab the way it is but I'm sure there is room for a little improvement.
Quick question; what does the m, c, & s button used for and what do they stand for. Im still waiting for the full vehicle pack from the merc dealers.
Also suspension setting when I press the button it's comfort, sport 1 and sport 2. Is sport 2 the most sporty setting?
That's alll for now but I will be updating my profile with a few pics. It's a shame I haven't been able to drive it due to snowy weather here in the UK. Being rear drive I didnt want to risk anything.
Regards, Azam

Answer to your question: M = manual, C = comfort, and S = sport
Controls the behavior of the transmission shifting.
Sport 2 is indeed the most sporty setting - the only one I use on my car.
Would recommend you download the user manual (available online) and study it as it has much information on the console switches.
Also to get my head around this, so if in the M mode I can then change gears manually using the steering flappy things or the gear stick itself?
If in C mode then it automatic grandpa style driving?
If in S mode then the beast is alive and I can use both automatic and steering flappy things?
Also is the sport mode the best or up to individual preference?
Thanks.
Here's one I found with a quick search:
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...owners_manuals
So just to get this right the 'M' setting allows longer revs within the gears as oppose to 'S' mode?
I've also noticed a bit of bubbling on the wheels, there is warranty on the car do you think Mercedes will fix this under the warranty? Have any of you claimed against this?
Thanks. Azam
