New Owner CLS55 today :)
So Im finally an owner of the car Ive dreamed about since I saw it on a Cali trip in 2006. Today is a very good day. I have a question about the tranny and the modes...
I was in C and S mode on freeway running about 60-80mph and sometimes I would push full throttle and it would kick down kicking me back in my seat. then other times it seemed to just stay in a high gear and not kick down. But really it felt like the ECU was limiting the HP or something. Do these cars do that? I thought it was the C and S mode but it happened in both.
Is it just me or is this normal or is maybe something up?
2006 70K miles and looks to be totally stock. Thanks Guys Awesome forum btw

I didnt go through M mode very much but I did put it in and shifted down and rpms were there but power seemed to really be lacking. Weird...could I have a slipping belt on super charger or losing boost?

Ok doing more research today it looks like the intercooler pump. Anyone have experience with this or know the oprox cost to fix? I found a Johnson pump online for $265 wondering kind of labor cost there is. Thanks

Btw I bought from a Chevy dealer here in Chandler, AZ and I thank God I have a short 500 mile warranty and But they are trying to say they cant do anything cause there is no check engine light.
So, just to be clear from what I have read about this problem it can be intermittent like mine but based on the supercharger overheating and shutting down, it will through a check eng light and other times it doesn't.
How does Mercedes ultimately diagnose this issue without an obvious code alert? Test drive with real time diagnostics or other tool?
Just trying to arm myself the best I can so I can fight with the service department and get them to cover the charges.
