Think I jinxed myself..who woulda thought a month later id have the same issue. Window still rolls up & down (sometimes rejects and goes back down) but has a grind like sound. Glass isn't scratch but it definitely doesn't sound normal. Similar to what initially happened with yours?

More than likely a window regulator..thats what I just ordered. Found one for $250 but was a day too late. So ended up paying $290. Installation is where it can get expensive ($300+) if you can't install it on your own.

Grinding noise
Mine started acting up today, but the motor is still operating. The window is having a very difficult time rolling up and it's grinding during the process. The window will not roll all the way up. Rather than forcing the system to close, I think I'll just try and fix this myself. I looked on eBay and all I'm finding is the window regulator repair kit for $42+shipping. I hope this is the fix.

My drivers side window started sqawking too, used WD40 to fix
Don't know if what I saw was the same thing you speak of here. But about a week ago I opened my right from door and it SCREAMED at me. Yikes says I, what is your problem? So, I close it again a SQAWK! as the window ascended to closed position. I was freaked, what on earth is that sound. So I does it a couple more times, and see sound coming from the front of the window track.
So I gets the WD40 and stick the tube in that track that lives above the door. The sqawk immediately changed, but didn't go away. Couple more times and it was gone. Wiped excess WD40 off the glass and the sqawk has stayed away... No parts no problem...
Have to assume this is not the same problem you guys had...
