Down one C32, but very happy with the other one.

I deleted my sour grapes thread from earlier. Replaced one of my C32s with an '02 Carrera after a week of ownership. It is more matched to my soul. Fletcher Jones did me right in the end. I actually spoke with him (the III) for about half an hour. He was actually pretty cool, especially when he found out I was not trying to get him to intervene in the trade in deal and was just giving feedback/venting. The funny thing is that the service advisor keeps calling me with updates as to when "my car" will be fixed. He doesn't even know the company bought it back. Who am I to set him straight. I just played along. :p BTW, it took them a week to find out that it was the air temp sensor getting too much voltage from the air pump. Funny, a week ago that is precisely what I told them was probably causing the intermittant stalling as indicated by the overly rich smell from the exhaust after stalling. Now that the tech can confirm it, I guess it is officially a problem. Whatever, not my car anymore.

good buy, i also have a 996 (c4 cab with tip triple black) its one hell of a car just watch the oil this car consumes alot of oil but it is still a great car no matter what.Ive had it over 3 years (i had the first one with the upgraded front lights since it was the demo the dealer used for test drives before the full line came in i bought it on the spot!) and have not come across any problems (other than scheduled maintnance) let us know how it works out!

Great news. Had an '01 996 Cab in the past that was trouble free as well. Got to say the smile is a little broader now that my personal family car is a Carrera again.

Ex-house; a victim of NASDAQ crash. Scratching my way back up, though. In another twenty years, maybe I can buy it back.

Boxsters rock! If they build a special edition Boxster Turbo, then I will go into hock to own one . Mercedes and Porsche seem to go hand in hand for meeting transportation dreams. All hail Stuttgart.

But how much oil are you consuming?? My 3.6 doesn't seem to be eating up any... THEN again, i'm used to my 3.2 characteristics LOL.

What is interesting about the c32 and the 996 3.6l is that they are BOTH fantastic machines... believe it or not however, there are times i truly prefer the c32 (w/ PSS9s ) over the 996!
