Here in HK, the first inspection will be nothing much more than oil change after 5000km . Unless you have reported any problems that they would surely look at it. e.g interior rattling if any. I suggest you ask them to replace the transmission fluid cap/ring which is a W203 common known fault that would happen sooner or later. Of course if the dealer can assure to you your C55 version does not have this problem.
About breakin, some are believers and some are not. I am a believer based on my 30 years MB repair shop friend experience.
I give 90% satisfaction rating to my C55 now at 11000km, 8 months; the finest balanced in terms of handling, power , comfort - a machine for life.
All the best of luck to your new C55.

When I asked my service guy about this, he laughed and said the 1,000 mile inspection is just a "PR thing"...don't worry about it. So I didn't. Now that I heard they do a diagnostic for errors, this makes me wish I at least did it.

I didn't even notice them at first but I think they look ok. Although, a V8 badge would definitely be a better choice IMO.
I wish AMG did this as standard, even if it doesn't say kompressor, it would be cool indicating there is a V8 - which surprises everyone once I tell them anyway.

PS Nice car!!!

Thanks, they took a fair amount of work to get them placed just right. The painted reflectors aren't something I really care to do. I'm planning some engine mods next.

Mig,
I believe from what I've read on this forum that the AMG 18" rims on our C55's have a different offset than any of the other C-Class vehicles. You may want to check this out before you purchase a set. You'd probably be better off buying rims with the correct offset for your car.
