Anyone hear of this...
My Chiropractor saw my car the other day and loved it and now wants to get either an E55 or C55. He's leaning towards the C55 b/c he likes that it's smaller and sportier looking but he said that he heard there is an offer that AMG gives to new clients that will fly them out to Germany to test their models and will take your order right there on the spot. At their expense. Sounds too good to be true.
Anyone hear of this? I promised him I'd follow up about this and get back to him.

However, the car must be ordered ahead of time. You don't go out there and order it on the spot as suggested and they don't fly you out at their expense. If it's anything like the BMW Euro-delivery program, it typically makes financial sense if you were planning to do a vacation in Europe anyway. The money you save would fund the vacation. The only thing is you have to be flexible if the production shifts a bit (as it has happened to some people).

no sweet deal you just save destination i think. amg models are not in the EDP- no discount. you can pick up in germany but arrangements have to be made through dealer. i had asked about c55. btw you can't get nav w euro maps for c class. e is ok.

So this does exist but you pay for the flight. I'm gonna have to look on MB's website to see if there is any info there.

I have not explored this option with MB but had considered doing it when I purchased some previous BMW's. I go to Germany one or two times a year (Stuttgart) area. MB plant tour was interesting but I'd like to see some AMG stuff. If I get any info on the Euro-delivery program, I will let you know.

i swore i saw something here that the c class could not be delived there with euro nav maps. didn't make sense at the time. now i can't find the remark on the site- i hope that what i saw waS incorrect or that they have since made a change.
i'd like to pick up a car (e350, c55) next yr or yr after and drive around. spend 2 weeks. try to tie in two grand prixes.

Thanks gusy! You've been a lot of help and that link was perfect! I printed it out and will be giving it to my Chiropractor! Maybe he'll give me a few free adjustments - lol!
