COMAND calibration
How many have done the calibration on the COMAND. It lets you select new tires/old tires and the tire size. I was about to do it, but noticed that there might be only one tire size input? What if we have staggered tire sizes? Which one would we be putting in?
Thanks.
Thanks.

yup, it has something to do with your location on the navi map.
read this thread : https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/102487-my-navi-behind.html
my setting isn't even close to my actual tire size, but the display works perfectly.

Wow! I had no idea about this. My navi is pretty darn accurate. In fact, there have a been a few people that have commented specifically on how accurate mine is compared to theirs. I didn't know that it can be calibrated.

It looks accurate if you turn a lot. Because the system "doublechecks" with the satelite everytime your car turns. But try it on a straight + long road for about 2-3 miles, and check if it's still accurate in correspond with nearby intersections.

calibration needs to be done per front tiresize...that is where the speedpulse for comand comes from
2005 W203 DVD comands do not have this calibration feature
comands are self learning...even if the tiresize is way off - it will calibrate itself in the long run
greetingz,

Cool. Thanks.
Its not very off, so I think I will leave it alone. I just thought I would calibrate it since I upgraded to larger wheels and tires and I only recently noticed the calibration setting.

thx for the heads up Steve! now I don't have to read that whole owner's manual to find out even if I had that "recab" option
