Those without a spare that have gotten tire troubles on the road, have you ever used the fix-a-flat and jack that came with the car? I noticed that my can/bottle of fix-a-flat has been used, probably by the previous owner. How well does that stuff work? Should I bother replacing that bottle with a new one? Where can I get a bottle like that, or is the dealership the only place.

The can should be good for 2-3 applications if used accordingly

Hmm..okie. I think I will check to see if theres anything good left in the can. Its been sitting open in the trunk. I see the bag it was probably originally in and the snorkel, but the can is open, no lid or anything covering it. If not, I guess its a good idea to pick up a replacement for those quick patches if I'm on the road.

Absolutely. Just make sure that you get at least 10 minutes of highway or freeway (high speed) driving in right after you put the contents of the can into your tire - this ensures that the tires get up to temp and spread all of that stuff around evenly in there, and so that the leak is fixed. It may be true that you can just drive around town at 35-45mph or so -- but I always like to hit a freeway or highway.....

just be prepared to take your car to a good detailer, since you are going to need them to clean all that goo thats plastered all over the side of you car when it comes out of the hole you are sealing
....... yes this has happened to me if you cant tell, was in a different car though but it did work and sealed the tire
