BOV or some hissing valve on a C32!?
Hey dudes...anyways tonite, i out drivin my c32 and decide to push it...i put it in 1st gear and gun it, red line shift...all of a sudden i heard a hissing noise, i'm like wtf was that?! i know there shouldn't be a BOV on the c32, so wat could it be?! i hope it wouldn't be something like my tranny releasing some pressure because of how much stress it was put through?!
someone please help, i'm kinda worried...

Hiss
Does it hiss at full throttle? or when at very light throttle? I have the C3P intake so I can hear very light hissing at off boost when at less than 5% throttle and the SC not engaged.
It is normal to hear the high pitched SC whine when on the gas with the SC engaged. I had wondered if our supercharger had a bypass system to prevent a boost spike when we let off from full boost. Cause I hear a little "swoosh" sound when I do that at partial throttle since installing the intake. It is when we transition from no boost to supercharger engaged, you can hear something sealing off with a hiiissst then quiet then the whine of the SC. This is only when rolling into it lightly as it happens too fast if you kicking hard. I figured that the system intake flow bypassed the SC when off boost. Is that right?

Hiiisssssiing
Yeah, I am familiar with turbo bypass systems from Toyota turbos and others. But this was my first SC'ed car. If the OP's car is hissing when the SC is engaged, then he may have a leak somewhere.
As for belt slip, the hissing sound that I hear is not when the SC engages. And it did not change when I put the pulley on, so I am doubting that what I an hearing is belt slip. What I hear is variable with what I am doing with the trottle and is on the on/off transition to power on/off but not necessarily when the SC engages. At realatively light throttel the SC is not engaged and that is when I hear the noise most often. It actually sounded like a bypass valve but I was not certain this car had one. I never hear it before putting on the C3P intake device.
Anybody know if the engine breaths thru the supercharger when it is not engaged? or does it have a separate flow path for the air?
