My C55 is for sale...

My sig has all the options, everything except the phone. I have pics posted here or can email them. Mileage is 11,500. Asking 49K. Garaged and pampered. Car is in Phoenix AZ. No issues with the car, trading up to a 911.

I don't see why you wouldn't get 49k for it. I took mine to a local dealership also looking at a 911 and they offered me $50k as a trade. Obviously I wasn't going to trade it in... just wanted to test drive the turbo 911!!! Good luck to you. Please keep us posted as to how much you sell it for... I'd like to know the resale private party value.

BTW - unless it's a turbo 911, I don't really think you can say "trading up"

Have to disagree. A porsche is a porsche, just how a Honda is a Honda. If someone traded in their C32 for an NSX, I still see it as a downgrade regardless of the price difference.

But that's just my opinion =) not a rule of thumb.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying? Are you saying it is an upgrade or downgrade to go from a mercedes to a porsche?

I'm getting a GT3, so for performance its a subtstantial upgrade, the GT3 matches teh TT on the Nurburgring, probably a bit slower on the street but still 0-60 4.3 and top end of 190. Convenience and comfort is obvioulsy a downgrade but not really my priority.

As long as it's not a Boxster. It's a definite upgrade

I think anyway you look at it, going from the C55 to GT2, GT3 or TT is definitely an upgrade.

Going from the C55 to a 911 c2 - not an upgrade. But, that's just my opinion... obviously opinions are like buttcracks, everyones got one! Good luck to you in selling your car.

I agree, a 996 C2 is probably a downgrade, the C55 is as fast maybe a littel over matched in the twisties but its comfy and has lots of amenties. C55>996C2

If you want a real upgrade, add A Kleeman S8 conversion- less money and better performance

I'm planning on paying of the C55 and buying a 911 Carrera 4 cab. There is no way I'm ever getting rid of my C55, especially after adding the Kleemann s/c to become a sub 12 second car, well at least that's my goal.
