sweeeeeeeeet.... dude, you should be dynoing numbers closer to 350rwhp with the ET and trap speed you run!!! The exhaust sounds AMAZING though. What impresses me most is the speed which you ran your 12.5 at. It seems like your C32 is running very hard on top.

nice!!!!! sounds great! that smoke didnt seem like much of an issue, alot of times if the bolt is not so tight or if its not a great seal with the tubing you will get smoke comming out of there, only seen on a dyno at high RPM when the car is not moving.

Did you just add the exhaust? What are the hp results?

i didn't dyno the car before the exhaust, but i'm most certainly sure there is only a little bit of hp gain (1-2hp). there's really no way to tell, but the butt dyno said there was no difference.

i did this mod for sound purposes.

i'm not sure what goal you have in mind for your car, but i was toying around with the idea of just doing headers and removing the resonator - i think that would give the best compromise between sound and power.

doing the eisenmann, i got all the sound i wanted, but at a pretty hefty price. headers and resonator removal probably won't give you the eisenmann sound, but it'll you a more deeper and throaty sound than stock, but i'm assuming not monstrous like the eisenmann.

nice sound and beatufiul car fongflex the eisenmann race sounds amazing on the dyno in person, it just screams at WOT. i love it when you mash it on the street and the car downshifts and screams to redline. i have the eisenmann race too, and i think it is great for sound, but unless money isn't a consideration, eisenmann + headers is an expensive combo. stock exhaust + no resonator + headers like fongflex said would be a great compromise for the price. i wouldn't remove the resonator when you have eisenmann race, this thing is already very very loud alone :p i have some dyno videos of my own with the eisenmann, but the sound quality isn't so great...

hope this is not hijack, but i also have a vid inside a garage tunnel at WOT if anybody wants to hear what eisenmann sounds like in enclosed area :p

Does the resonator removal mainly increase HP or just give a nicer sound? Would it work on a N/A 320 engine as well as the F/I AMG one?

the job of the resonator is to mute the sound. i would expect any hp gains from deleting it to be minimal, if any. theoretically it may restrict flow a bit, but i would remove it for sound, and any hp increase to be negligible. the difference will probably so little that it cannot accurately be registered on dyno, since dyno run fluctuations will probably not consider the deletion of the resonator to be any significant gain. it should work fine on an n/a 320 engine, the resonator removal is basically for sound, more rumble and deeper sound.

Yeh, alot of Audi guys did resonator removals for sound. Like you said not much HP, but they found that the sound was loud and sort of a bad quality, just thought id see if MB was different.
