any changes for the 06' C55?

I assumed that the 7-speed gearbox would find its way in there. I test drove the SLK55 and thought the extra gears helped make better use of the engine's power. The mbusa website only have 05' cars...Anyone know of any changes?

No major changes. Shame on Mercedes Benz AMG division. 5 Speed Tranny and same HP. A change in price plus an option or 2 and color. Shame on MB

it does not fit in the trans tunnel without serious modifictaion. there are not enough sales to justify the work to make 7g part of the C55. its the last year for the C55 so get them while you can!

Hopefully there will be a new "Model" so that I can pick-up
a C55 cheaper.

The all new C-class AMG will probably be here as an 08' model making about 420ish hp...

They've upgraded it now though (before it's introduced). It's going to have a T66 turbo for every cylinder. Take that to the bank.
