AMG Sports Package
I went on the mercedes-amg.com site to check out the C55 and saw that this package was extra. Does anyone know what it costs? I didn't see it on MBUSA when I was building the C55. I thought it already came with the body pieces and all that.

i think you are referring to the C55 Performance Package, which is not available in the US, as pictured on the AMG international site. this is an extra package available for only ROW (rest of world) C55's. the c55 in the US is indeed full amg in and out, but other countries can order an AMG performance package, which is an AMG Manufaktur option ontop of the C55 AMG. this includes bigger brakes, carbon-fiber c55 spoiler, pacecar "sl65-style" bumper with side vents, amg lsd, "nurburgring suspension," more alcantara/carbon-fiber inside, racing seats, etc. none of which is yet available from US dealerships as a normal factory option when speccing the US c55 amg. just know that if you buy a C55 in the US, you are indeed getting a full AMG car with the engine, bodypieces, everything, just not to the extra extent of the limited-edition performance package.

I think Harton Motor Werks sell alot of AMG Manufaktur accessories (e.g. safety car wheel, amg lsd, etc.). Check out www.hartonmotorwerks.com/development

I am not surprised some countries MB dealers do not offer AMG styling or AMG kits as options. Even here in HK, MB dealer dont even show these options on their web site. But when I got a bronchure from their showroom; there are many'AMG options' on the options price list . e.g. AMG Wheels, Spoliers.
I do not think AMG options are official in Germany. But I think countries dealers tend to put them in just to make more bucks.
