Interesting article, but has anyone heard of the following before:
"In True form, Mohammed specified the car with some extra AMG options such as ported and polished cylinder head, free flowing exhaust system minus the original catalytic converters and special programming for the engine control computer. The supercharger combined with the other modifications results in a power output of 430Hp."

Hmmm,I'm wondering if the author of the article is BS ing us.No turbo pics, manifold pics or anything. Since when would AMG sell a C32 with no cats? 430hp,yes possible but from AMG I question the article.

This line also made me wonder:
"Its not all good news as although the Eaton style supercharger delivers excellent low to mid range performance, it starts to lose efficiency at higher RPM’s, and this can be felt from the drivers seat, as the car noticeably slows once the tachometer needle exceeds 4500Rpm."
Not in may car was my reaction!

I'm sure but the v6 still loses some TQ but has descent HP uptop. This is their claimed reason for adding a dual turbo setup according to this Bogus article.

AMG would never sell the public a C32 with no cats as far as I'm concerned. Then port the heads and equip the car with a modded ECU for this guy!Do you know how much he must have paid for that car? The author of the article is a knuckle head as far as I'm concerned.

If those guys do custom F/I i'm sure they would have ported the heads them selves and infact have the ECU sent out.I don't believe AMG has anything to do with it other than the fact that these guys bought an AMG C32.

THis guy did indeed turbo and supercharge his car. The AMG options are "AMG Manufaktur" specified. As he is not in the US, Cats are not always required esp. in the middle east. Finally, for the amount of money he has, he could really do anything he wants. There is a thread floating around on one of the mercedes boards with a picture. Thanks

What does the highlighted quote mean?Is there a link that shows that the options mentioned are "AMG specified"?I can agree with the catalytic portion.I was assuming he's in the US.So you know for a fact that the heads were ported by "AMG" simply because this guy has money?

The only twin turbo supercharged C32 that I know of was built in a shop in the middle east. In this part of the world you can specify when you order the car whether you want special options. For instance, you could order an LSD for the C32 from AMG. These options are AMG Manufaktur options. I believe there is a member of this board that has AMG specified parts on his G class, specifically BIX and an alacantra headliner. Another example of an AMG Manufaktur option would be the removal of speedlimiter from factory and the installation of a lower gear ratio for higher top speed. These options cost ALOT!!! thats was the money reference

Yes the options you listed are standard in Europe(LSD,Color, etc).Speedlimiter is an option. Those I know about. My biggest question has to do with ECU programming(other than speed limiter), head porting and polishing. That's what I question.

AMG is just like any other specialty tuner. There is a PDF catalog floating around that lists their services. The Rear end ratio, LSD, Computer programming and Port/Polish are available. I will try to track down the AMG parts list. Keep in mind that AMG is just contracted by mercedes, there are also AMG tuned Nissans ... yes I am serious.

This was posted by HARRIS...

"For those who think money is no object, here is a good news for you: I am able to get you a customized AMG car (any class), 100% built to individual specifications. Anything offered by AMG Manufaktur can now be special ordered: bigger brakes, Nuerburgring suspension, VMax derestriction, Limited Slip Differential, Safety car style carbon fibre interior, AMG Unique Manufacturing Sound System, SL 65 rims…...just name it!

The conversion to US standards might not be easy, but I guess there are customers out there who are willing to pay a bit more for such an exclusive car. It has to be ordered as a complete car, the parts cannot be sold separately. Serious buyers, please contact me via e-mail. "

This leads me to believe that with the right amount of money you can get them to do anything.

you are better off with some US/Euro tuners other than AMG. They charge an arm and a leg for their stuff... think 1.5 times what brabus wants. For instance, the C coupe with the 3.2 Kompressor engine was something like 90 thousand after adding the LSD, Interior etc... (technically, the whole car was an accessory/option)

AFAIK, AMG Aftermarket motor mods include cams, headers, exhaust, superchargers, Bore out (think SL73, same engine as zonda S but with diff compression and valvetrain) V12s just about anything you can think of or pay for. For instance, they made a 55k high compression model with strengthened sleeves etc... for the previous gen (W210) 55... wait, thats not the best part.... IT WAS 4MATIC. However, these are impossible to come by in the states and waaaaaaaaay too expensive to even look at for me. the cost of these mods could be more than the car. If someone does them I would love to ride in their car :v
