Are the prices for C55s dropping???
I have seen prices from dealerships for used C55s with between 10-12k miles
going for less that 48K. Of course it depends on the options, but some have been fully loaded. Will prices continue to drop??

I think because the 06 models just came out that dealers are giving substantial discounts on the 05's to move them off the lot. Consequently this has trickled down to the private party market, i.e. prices are lower across the board.

MB had a special lease running on '05's. The money factor was crazy low at 125. Not sure if it's still running but I'm sure they are also dealing on purchase prices as well. Hey, if you could beat them up on purchase price and then get the 125 money factor on top a lease would be crazy to pass up. I was just about to pull the trigger on an 05 lease but when the banks started asking silly questions I called my sales guy and told him to order me an 06 with everything I wanted and I'd just buy it outright. My thought is that it's not worth it to buy an 05 over an 06 but it is worth it to lease an 05 over an 06. Down side is I'm waiting for 2.5 months for my car to get built.

The depreciation on these C55 has already set in. How much more do you really expect it to drop? Of course it's going to depreciate, but not any faster than any other high-line luxury sedan. Current prices of 46-50 is already a 20-25% drop.

The prices for most any car, other than the brand, new must-have versions, are always cheaper just before the end of the month. Sales quotas and such.
