Car.....just.......died!
I drove to work this morning and while driving around 60-65, I step on the gas and...nothing. No response, no engine revving, no acceleration--nothing. The car just coasted, then snapped back and it was ok. Until driving home, same thing happened twice--once around 30mph, and again around 60mph. I plan to take it in for service tomorrow morning. I go to run 1 errand and stop a red light and.....dead!! The car just died. It wouldn't start. All lights are ok, engine tries to start, but never starts. Sounds like a fuel pump to me. I call MB service and they ask if I have another key. At home, sure, but I'm not at home. While waiting over 1 hour for the tow truck, my wife gets the other key and we try it--no good. So it's not the key. So after 4.5 hours, I'm back at home and my car is at the dealer. We'll have to see what they say. Anyone have a similar problem? This sucks!! I have no more confidence in the car.
Oh yeah, I'm also getting a steering wheel up/down motor problem fixed. It just stopped moving up and down, although the motor still runs. Little problems can be so inconvenient!
