Damn I just got my car in january!!!!! Oh well, Guess I'll wait to get the new C55 amg. By then I'll be a ble to afford a brand new one. Or a used sl55 lol! Those cars look like they are going to wipe their as s with the competition. Especially the power increase. Oh yeah baby! Bring it! I'm so excited. I love new MB Products!

The least lucky guy was me and you , I got the the C55 W203, but at least I played it one yr by now and enough fun and can sell it after 6 more months. And, you, got the W203 230 not so bad as it is less cost than the C55.
The most unlucky guys are those they got the C55 in late 2005.
In a yr time they will be watch C63 W204 tails for possibly another 1-2 yr or longer.
Of course , they can always convince themselves, it is ok, I love W203 more than W204 ......

You still wish that W204 AMG will be 2.5 yr later ? Honestly, C55 is a great car with great engine, but W203 is aged ( if you have ever tried E90) . Won't you think even a CLK55 is a better choice? When the time comes, how soon the C55 owners can ditch their cars also depending on how much and when they paid for it. I paid 110K here
and I don't think I can get more than 55% when I sell it in a year's time. But get the sense of humour of it, in normal circumstances, only the early birds owning a C55 can ditch their cars quicker than others; and there were numerous cases of people in this forum were already moving to E55 or CLS55. Who is not tempted? Who will say the W203 is better than W204? At least I have heard how many ex-E46 owners love their new E90s. I had got my brand new Z3 3 months before they announced the Z4 and ended up 3 years watching z4 taillamps. At least, potential shoppers of C55 should be warned. Unless they have a special reason to get a C55 e.g big discount; or I would live with a GTI for a yr or 2 and still have some bucks for a W204 or a E90 ; AMG / M3 of course. :p Just 2 cents of warning.

Hopefully when I graduate next year Ill have saved up enough money to get the new C -class, I really cant wait. I plan on working as a surgical /x-ray technician and pay my way through med school. Im getting my certificate in my senior year of college so by the end of it i can start working.

I can't see the logic in selling my car now in anticipation of a new, upgraded version coming out in a few years. There are always newer, faster, more comfortable cars in development. Thats the law of the land - keep improving your automobiles or end up like the Pinto - extinct!

I personally don't give a rats *** if and when the new C class comes out. What really matters is that I love the C55 and my opinion/appreciation for this car will not change based on a new model introduction. Just my thoughts...

Uh...... dude, that paying your way through med school stuff is easier said than done. Trust me I know and that is with partial scholarship included. Almost impossible to work and study at the same time. Anyways, good luck regardless. I'm graduating med school this year......finally woooo hooo! My graduation present will be new shoes for my little w203, but they will not be too expensive because in two and a half years time I will be more stable and will be able to afford a-hem...........AMG something hopefully lol!
One piece of advice for everyone......when I was searching for my car I was trying to find the right combo of value, luxury, power and honestly BENZ only car. After 3 months of exhaustion, I ended up with my car. I was a little upset at first due to the lack of power, but looks and attention factor were amazing. I was also upset that midway through 05 they upgraded to 6 cylinder engines, but then I realized that in another year or so the w203 becomes w204......the point is that new things will never stop coming. If you wait and wait and wait......you will never enjoy anything.
I on the other hand I want my dream car; sl55 amg. I know it will change and I know it will be more powerful, but it will also be beyond my budget brand new. So I'll take an 04 or 05 used version and buy it 5 years from now and mod it and keep it for a good while. New body styles will come out and I'll be in the old one, but for me 493hp and a kick *** styling will not be easily overshadowed by most cars on the road no matter how new they are.

As me an example, I got my Z3 few yrs back and it was only after a few months they announced the Z4 . You still have a yr or two and even 3 yr to go before the W203 look is being seen as classic.
So think about that, you are the happiest guy in fact.

W203 is bread and butter of MB; and the E90 is already better than W203 in many many ways. Go and test drive a E90 and you know what I mean. Has MB ever lost to BMW ? The answer is no, MB will win. So W204 is going to be another big hit.
2. MB quality degradation in recent years will improve in new models
3. W204 AMG will compete with M3 E90 ; so I presume C55/63 W204 will get 400+ hp and a 7Gtronic in order to compete with M3's 410hp and SMGIII(8 gears!!).
A good example is who gives a damn with E500/E55 now why not a CLS

Med school was an option and having Uncle Sam foot the bill was very attractive, but the pay back would have been too much in terms of time.

I'm glad that my 03 c32 looks exactly like the 06 C. It'll help my car keep it's value. I just got the car 1 month ago and plan on keeping it for at least 2 years. My next car will probably be a CLS AMG (I should be able to afford it in 2 years).

i'm with m3 eater. warranty up last friday. the bang for the buck factor is fairly high with the c32 so i'm going stg2 +.
