How many tickets have you gotten?

In your entire life, how many? I'm at like 5 .. What is the best radar/laser jammer out there? I can't afford to get another ticket.

I'm almost 23 and I have had 1. I invested into a Valentine One right after getting the ticket and it has saved me countless times. I am 93% sure that If I would have had my Valentine1 that I would still have 0!

Yeah well last night I just turned my detector on and sped up and then bam, there he is. He was using a Ka band picked up by my Escort Solo cordless POS.. I can't stand the feeling of them creeping up behind you and the lights comming on out of nowhere. Thankfully the cop wasn't an a$$hole but wouldn't give me a warning for doing 48 in a 35. I don't even have my C32 yet (still driving Acura TL). He told me he turned it and saw me slow down, and knew I had a detector. He also said he had never lost in traffic court in five or ten years. I think i'm going to get a traffic lawyer and spend $100 to get it dismissed or no points/traffic school. The last ticket I got last year in Broward county on turnpike I was doing like 85 in a 70 and paid $70 it was like it never happend.

What I'm really wondering is if you have the top of line detector (V1 or Passport 8500), how is it going to work if they have it turned off and then turn it on right when they're in range? By the time you hear the detector it's too late to slow down... So then that pretty much leaves radar/laser jammers as the best resort. Does anyone have one on here? If so, which ones are the best?

When they use instant on, your a$$ is grass. You only hope is that someone in front of you gets lit up first and your detector picks up the stray signal. ALWAYS respect Ka signals!

BTW, active radar jammers are illegal in the USA and the passive ones are a waste of money.

If you can't afford the fine, don't do the crime. Cowboy up and pay the fine.

LOL! I actually got stopped for having blue bulbs in my dad's 97 c230 about 7 years ago. I did not even have real xenons and the bulbs were those fake ricer type ones that don't even shine that bright. I was like you are seriously giving me a ticket for this? He said yes. I was like you know that mercedes and Bmw and and all these other high end cars have this lighting system from factory?( obviously my dad's car didn't come with those bulbs, but this guy was clueless) So do you give them tickets too? He did not answer. I said you know I'm gonna fight this right? He said yeah i know.
Two weeks later I called the court and told them my case, the secretary started laughing and showed it to the judge who later dismissed it.

I believe i was stopped cause i was a young 19 y/o in an expensive car and the cop had nothing better to do. This was in a small town in New Jersey by the way. What an a- hole!

Now when I was stopped doing over 100 in my current car.....well that's a different story

some slow@$$diesels
40+...varying from parking violations, running a red light, non readeable license plate (I don't wash my car too often), not wearing a seatbelt, running front foglights to speeding...25-30 of these tickets are for speeding (last one was for doing 93mph instead of 65mph in california)...AND I DRIVE A FREAKING SLOW @$$ DIESEL.

greetingz,

Called a few law firms and there aren't many traffic attorneys in Tallahassee. But I found one for $150 ($10 less than the citation), and just got off the phone with him.. He has 18 years of experience and told me: best case scenario dismissed and worst case I have to goto "court ordered" traffic school which I found out DOESN'T count as one of your five lifetime traffic schools. Pretty good deal IMO. Is there here that's used him before? His name's Tony Comrada.

30+ probably more in all honesty not including parking tickets. But I'm almost 40. About half and half between cars and motorcycles. Mostly stopped for speeding. I routinely got 3-5 tickets per year in my twenties and lost my license several times. I got stopped 3 times in the last twelve months and was ticketed all three times but got them all dismissed. Only paid a fine once.

The way I drive a radar detector is helpful but no guarantee. Is my Porsche here yet?

4 tickets total...

1st was "Exhibition of Speed" - Ouch, 2 points automatically but fell off my record.

2nd I was pulled over and as the cop was writing out my ticket, I got out of my car and talked my way out of it. 3 friends were in the car and couldn't believe it! At first they told me to stay put so I don't make it worse. The cop was cool!

3rd took traffic school to keep it off my record (motorcycle cop - no talking yourself out of those tickets!)

4th motorcycle cop again. This was my most recent I got last year. I fought it using TicketAssassin.com and finally went to court and the cop didn't show up so it was dismissed! So it's like it didn't happen.

Funny thing about the 4th ticket. I paid $205 bail which was cashed by the state within a week of sending off the check. Since I get this back I am still waiting for the check. This was back in July. The lousy state is most likely earning interest on my money!!! Here is the link to the story...

Nick

PS I have to admit that I've made a conscious effort to reduce my speeding but man those motorcycle cops can be ruthless.

Called today and they're out of everyone except the Phazer II. Looks like they're only illegal in some states (not FL)... Other than that the guy said they'd be getting some active ones by next month.
