My bags are packed.

Well guys, its been 3 years in this forum for me, ever since owning an Amg went from being a dream to a reality. And now my c32 is for sale and probably getting bought today buy some old geezer and i will move on to the clk55 I think. I am going to drive both the c55 and clk55, that will be the ultimate factor that determines which one to buy.

I just think the c class AMG gets raped on the value compared to any other line up which is why i am leaning towards the clk55, but I am afraid at the same the clk55 won't be as fast acceleration wise and probably won't handle as good.

You can't go wrong with either C55 or CLK55! There's always Kleemann if you want more juice!

CLK55 is a great looking car, but severely overpriced (IMO) when compared to the C55, which performs basically the same and has more room.

i disagree w/ you about the depreciation of the c class amg as the worst. i've seen new or used clk55 w/ 1000 miles or so dropping over $15000 of msrp

If the CLK55's price isn't a factor, then I'd say the heck with both the C55 and CLK55 and get an E55. Especially if you're interested in speed. However, the handling of the E55 could be an issue for you.

Exactly the problem, the E55 will be sluggish and heavy in comparison to the Clk and C body. I would have to say I am getting rid of the c32 because all the little ******* c230's out there. I think the Amg kit should be left to amg cars, they should make a separate sports package for the other benzes.

clk55 all the way, Im sure you`ll get the $ difference when you sell it.

The lack of b pillar makes a huge difference to feeling of visibility especially when you lower both front and rear windows

nice to have the choice ...hmmm 1 year old E55........

The one thing that has me thinking c55 is that all the damn clk55's look just like the clk500 minus the quad exhaust.

Kind of the same way the c230's screwed all of us c32 owners.

The C55 stands apart because of the CLK nose at least.
