Has anyone heard from Steve about his LA visit? Heard he was coming around now and am pretty excited about getting my new nav/ipod installed.

What kind of work does he do? I'm in Sacto and wouldn't mind getting some work done.

Try www.summitracing.com

I did the same thing to my 430 airbox before I switched to the 55 box. I don't think I got any more power out of it, but the power I had was much more consistent on hot days.

12"x 24" adhesive Backed . I also used Lock tite instant adhesive. With the Jell , to seal down all the edges so they will not peel up or fray

Nice work. I will have to re-do mine in the next couple months. It's already peeling off on some parts.

Somebody here please explain to me the point of thermo wrapped airboxes? Obviously the engineers in Affalterbach designed a perfect engine which delivers consistent performance in a wide range of circumstances. I understand doing these sort of modifications on a chevy 351, but an AMG motor??? Do you honestly think that you can get the C55 engine to operate more efficiently than the AMG technicians? Maybe I'm completely missing the point, if so, please do explain.
