Modded C32 v. Stock 2004 E55

Let the flames begin :v . . . I expect the naysayers to call me crazy, delusional, or "truth challenged," but I ran my modded C32 dead even against a stock 2004 E55 today on the freeway. We did a series of runs from 80 to roughly 140, with neither car pulling on the other. We then exited together, chatted for a bit (which is how I know that his is a stock 2004 E55) and ran from a stop. From a dig, we ran even, until my C32 hit the rev limiter in 1st , at which point the E55 pulled 1/2 car on me. We then ran through 2nd and most of third dead with him 1/2 car ahead.

Of course, a similarly-modded E55 would have eaten me for lunch, but I was pretty proud of my little C32 for running with an E55.

Before you naysay, allow me to say that I would gladly accept the challenge from a local with an E or S55 to re-enact the above

My mods: Evosport Pullies/ECU, SL55 splitter, Optima Battery, Denso Iridium plugs, Magnecor wires, K&N filters, Flik Artic wheels, Toyo T-1s, delete resonator. Car also came stock with no moonroof and no spare, which probably deletes 125 lbs from the normal C32 (with a moonroof and spare).

Would you be willing to accept a friendly challenge from a almost local with a moded E55? I'd love to see how mine would fair against yours. Let me know or PM me.

Nah, no flaming man, but I would say the E55 gets pretty hot pretty fast.

One high R run and the temp gauge spikes and kills hp.

Regardless, very nice.

on the battery, which one and is it lighter? then where did you get the Iridium plugs (what rating did you get?) and then where did you get the Magnecor wires (also what is the model number)? Did you see any gains from the plugs and wires??

I am at the limit with my mods (looking at NOS kinda leery, and I dont want to spring for cams (too much $$))... But I am always looking for anything else to give me the slight edge...

My cel number is (619) 252-7079. Call me when you are ready.

As for the E55 heating up fast, how does this explain the first run?

Optima is model 35. It weighs roughly 31 lbs less than stock and puts out better numbers.

Yes, plugs and wires seemed to help at high rpms. It may be my imagination, but the C32 seemed to pull very hard at high RPMs (and actually caused problems with the rev limiter) after the plug/wires install.

The plugs are Denso IK16s, and the wires I do not know part #s on.
