center dash vent
does anyone know what the hell the center dash vent is supposed to be for/
if you use it with your AC it fogs the window. if you use it with your heat, it makes your head feel hot. what the fu"" is it for? i thought it was a speaker when i got the car. THAT might make more sense.
any thoughts?????????

It 'seems' like (used it for the first time this morning dropping off daughter at school) it adjusts a ratio between COOL air and NO air IF you are running at normal environmental control AND adjusts the ration between COOL air and WARM air if you have front defrost on.
I wanna know what EC Rest does. I thought it was Environmental Control take a break from blowing for a sec so I can talk on the phone (YES I use a bt headset) but it doesn't really seem to do anything that is obvious to me.

the EC question i can handle. it operates to shut the AC compressor off when you driving with the AC on. HOWEVER, what it does is run your heat in the car for 30 minutes after you get out of the car. so when you are getting to go in a store for say, 20 minutes, after you shut the car down, hit the EC button and you'll hear the blower come on. it will continue to circulate the heat through the car for 30 minutes, or until you turn the car back on.

i should have said the EC button has two functions above, just to be clear
it shuts the AC of when you are using it
AND
it keeps the heat on after you get out of the car when you are using heat

- BOSE mid speaker
- Air vent
You can mod the vent so that it has a switch to shut it down.
