Great Kill -- new corvette
So I was on my way over to a buddy's house last night for a poker tourney. I was cruising at about 70mph on the freeway (the wide open 215) when I notice some xenon's in my rearview approaching... it's a new corvette. He's pulls alongside me and floors it. I let he floor it before flooring it myself, just to ensure that he doesn't think I jumped on him. The minute I floor it, I instantly pull past him... by 140 mph (~3 seconds later) I have him by at least 12-15 cars. We get to the next light (this freeway is basically a series of 1-2 mile off ramps) and I roll down my window and say, "do you want to go again". To which he replies (dude in his mid 50's), "umm no, I just got the car and I'm still learning it and I really wasn't pushing it there". LOL!!! He couldn't have just complimented me and said nice setup or something.... had to act like he wasn't trying... funny... you don't floor it and get up to 140 (him maybe 120) and not try... what a dumbass. Anyways... it was pretty fun to rock a new c6.

You should really be proud of yourself for this one especially considering the specs on the new corvette. Hats off to you and your absolutley ridiculous machine ( I mean that in every good way ). I hate it when people can't shake the hand of another fellow for simply out performing him, what a wolly.

whatever... that would be hard with a 50 shot nos! and pulling 12-15 cars on the go on a new C6 vette - he wasn't pushing it. (that's a 12.7 quater mile last time I checked and you run a 12.29) Don;t get me wrong, you did and should beat a new C6... Regardless, nice kill. Don't worry about the PM...

maybe your car need NOS to go from 70 - 140mph in 3 seconds but mine sure doesn't.

No W203 can race a Z-06. Z-06 is 3100 pounds and has 315 rear tires. So lets see about the same power, 265 vs. 315 tires, 6 speed vs. 5 speed auto... and the W203 is faster? right...And I dont think the bad A$$ Kleemann car is making that much power since hes trapping what a guy just did in BONE STOCK E55k.
Finish him off!
P.S. The second I saw that post I was questioning the 70-140 run in 3 seconds. One fast Kleemann car huh?

I invite you all to come to willow springs and watch a shoot out between the a modded C32 and the big ***** all power crazy C55k. Streets and then the big track. Sound fun?
This guys car is so crazy a stock E55 does everything that car does. Big whoop. If I wanted to spend any cash on my 55k's I would easily clean that C55k's clock but the idea of dumping all that cash only to kill a cars re-sale value seems pointless. 500hp is enough for me.
So if you beat me down the 1/4 mile i really dont give a hoot. My car is still worth a higher % of what I paid. Modded cars, from a tuner, are on a good day, known to pull between 10 and 15 cents on the $ for all money invested. The C55k is worth more in parts than as a whole.

with drag radials I would be equilvent or slightly faster than a new z06... nothing about smoking the new z06 you box of rocks.

BTW -- I put the car on eBay last week to see what it would command and it bid up to 75k -- so I guess you're right - this car doesn't have any value. LOL. Tool.

. Modding a E55 to go as fast as the C55k costs about nothing but a 90k W203?? I just dont know. Instead of invseting in my W203 I sold it. I could have spent 50k on it without batting an eyelash but in the end it would still be worth 30k like all over 2002 C32's -- maybe 5k more for the added value from the mods. For not worrying about money it was nice to see your car on e-bay! Someone so wealthy would not throw a car on e-bay to see if people wanted to buy it for some insane price. "I wont entertain offers below 81k..." E-bay is to sell things not waste peoples time =) I always throw my cars up for sale just to have fun!
you made the comment about beating a Z-06. In racing a win is a win so who cares if you said it was going to be a clock cleaning or a fender scraper. You still think your car will be quicker. I highly doubt that unless you use some go fast gas or invest in an acme rocket!
I would go for the acme rocket... serious curb appeal!!

Nice kill and I like your car a lot !! But kill a stock C6 with your C55 with Kleemann supercharger, just like a C32 kill a Mustang GT. The result is so obviously. Your level should be running with those C5 or C6 with supercharger or twin turbo , Or a C6 Z06. But hey nothing wrong with you rich people have fun with your fine car from time to time. My friend just got a new silver SLR and he only drive out two times in two month ! He should track his car and have some fun !! Still nice to see a MB kick some Corvette. Those Corvette dirver think their king of road !!
