My C32 w/less than 15,000miles. original warranty ends soon.

Extended warranty 4yrs-48,000miles=$2595.00 w/0 deductible. This is offered thru dealer. Any thoughts on price?

I will do this before selling for $30,000.00

What are your driving habits like? How many miles a year do you drive? Take those things into consideration as well.

I take it that's not a Mercedes backed warranty. I was quoted the following when I bought my CL:

1 year up to 100K miles = $2,395
2 year up to 100K miles = $3,995

4 additional yrs and up to 48,000 total miles ? I guess thats the reason u got it cheap.
The quotes I got from my dealer : 4 yrs/75K = $5,389 ($100 ded. per visit)
or 3 yrs/75K = $4,873 ($100 per visit)

That must be the case, however I've only 14,700 after 3ys. so this should work for me.

its worth checking how comprehensive the warranty is, it may be cheaper because some parts are not covered, parts you rather were.

Make sure it is not a "Platinum Warranty" as they went under last month.

I would get the warranty if I were you. My car was flawless for the first 48 months of ownership so I kept it. Then 3 weeks out of warranty the POS started falling apart. I have had three issues now with the car since my warranty expired 2 months ago.

Definetely not Mercedes warranty as it always goes to 100k regardless of the years purchased. I would look closely to make sure that parts etc.... are all covered. I can't imagine an outside company willing to warranty an AMG with absolutely no deductible. Good luck..

100k for the CPO warranty. I was quoted $3995 for 3 yrs. / 100k because it was an AMG.

Get a warranty

My401 you should already know this name:

Call Lisa Lehrbaum
Courtesy Motors (MBZ)
Chico? CA 1 800 655-3535

She quoted much better prices on the Mercedes extended warranties than anywhere else, many original 2002 C32 owners got them. I bet she sold more C32 warranties than anyone. All sales were from word of mouth recommendations from the forum.

She quoted an upgrade from 4/50,000 to 8/100,000 for $2000. My dealer was more than happy to match it, I didn't even bargain hard.

Remember, those prices were for "new vehicle" extensions though. Prices and services offered today will likely be worse.

I've still got the CLK.... Got married since we met at the drags

As far as the extended warranty, the Platinum Warranty Corp. (from Ohio) is the one that is belly-up. Any dealer will sell what he can make a profit on. They have no crystal ball as to what companies will be around long enough to pay claims, etc.

My suggestion is to check into the Daimler-Chrysler extended warranty (if it's still available), as I understood they covered AMGs, at least a year or two ago.

You guys come out of the storms okay?

That doesn't sound bad. I would jump on it. I paid $4000 for an extra 2 years (they claimed 2X as much because it's AMG).

I bought my 02 a month ago and was offered the extended warranty because it was a CPO.

I called her last month and she didn't work in that department anymore.
Then I was transferred to someone else and their quote did not impress me.
