What to look for in a used C55?
I've been lurking for the last few weeks & I really enjoy reading this forum. Anyway, I'm about to go look at this 05' C55 w/my gf (For her). Is there anything I should pay close attention to? Thx for your time & hopefully I'll be joining you guys as an owner soon.
Lastly, when's the next-gen C-class suppose to be out? Any info would be great!

Next gen should be coming out in about a year or so.... But the AMG next gen model should be another year to follow.... C55's are flawless machines.... I dont own one but I guess my two cents tells me you should look the warrenty.... make sure you get star marked and extended warrenty as it is important with benz's...... Your g/f interested in the CLK500's?

I just purchased an '05 with 4K miles on it. I looked for obvious signs of initial neglect, such as excessive paint blemishes, stains in interior, etc. These are indicators that the car wasn't taken care of, and starmark can't replace a proper breakin or neglect. Good luck with the buy!!

Make sure it's got a V8... no, seriously. There's a C32 run around Vegas sporting the C55 badge on the rear trunklid and V6 Kompressor badges on the fenders.

Thanks for everyone's help & info! All this info's very handy. LOL about the posers, hehe! Quick question...when you guys refer to "Starmarked" pre-owned, is that just another name for the Certified Pre-Owned program (Additional 12 months & 100k total miles of warranty)?
