2003 c32

Hello,
I'm new to posting to the forum.

I just recieved word that my '03 c32 has arrived in port , and should be able to receive the car in about a week or less

First the '03 does come with a full size spare, and no its not an amg rim. I found this out by talking to my dealer, and also my associate also recieved his '03 2 days ago.

Second thing I notice while test driving his , is the driver seat is less comfortable then the passenger seat. Is there a reason for this?, are all c32 equiped this way?. Seems to me the problem is in the lower portion of the seat back where it meets the bottom seat.
When driving his car, it felt like I was leaning against a bar

Other then that, it was a thrill to drive his car, and now I cant wait for mine

I was wondering if any other owners have experienced this with thier car seats?, and is it something I should expect on mine.
Thanks for the help.

As far as I know the two seats are identical. Several people have mentioned that they don't fit well in the C32 seat - it seems to be a lumbar thing. It depends on the person, though - it fits me perfectly!

Don't be discouraged so quickly. When I picked up my car, the seat was in a way that my back would hurt my just sitting there. When you get yours, mess up the seat setting so badly that you cannot find your way back to the way it was when you started. Then adjust it to the way you'd like. Never had a bad back problem since.

I'm 100% positive that some people's preference for sitting hurts other people's backs. How do I know? A couple times, I got out the spare key which had the originial seat setting programmed to it, and the seat hurt my back. I have since matched up the two keys so I wouldn't have to go through this problem when switching keys.

If the passenger seat felt good, and the both seats are the same, then you'll be able to get it right for the driver's seat.

Marc, may I ask, was your C32 on order originally for a 2002 model year car, and the dealer bumped it up to a 2003?

When did you order your car?

Thanks

Hello John,

I ordered my car as a 2003, I knew ahead of time that the new model would bring changes, such as bi xenons, and spare tire.
As of today I have recieved my car, and I'm in Love

I ordered my car in Brilliant silver, with the c4 lighting package,
rear sunshade, and at port of entry they installed my cd changer,
which is much less money then having dealer installed.

The car looks awesome with new headlight assembly, I must say they really took the the time make it look right. Also , as in never owning a car xenons before , the low beam, and high beam are exceptionaly bright.

The spare tire is included in the 03 model, but its not an amg rim, just a plain black steel rim. Kinda of stupid if you ask me , when you buy other cars of this caliber, normally they would provide a matching rim as a spare, but alas, it just means I'll have to spend some more money on a new rim, ( future expense).

I will post pics of the new headlight assembly, and spare tire, as soon as I pick up my digital camera.

Is there a breakin period for the C32?, if there is what is it?

Thanks all again.

Marc

thats a big debate....

Some say there is a break in, while others insist there is none. If you want to take care of the car it would not hurt to break it in for the first 1000 to 1200 miles or so. My car has 9500 and no problems to date. I did not baby the car but I did not really hit it during the time. Once or twice I may have gunned it but generally, I drove it rather easy for the first 1200 miles till I got my first oil change..... then.... BANG! Off to the races.

John,

I ordered my car 2 months ago. The dealer was helpful in providing me a fast delivery time, and any options I wanted on the car.

How long before will you recieve yours btw?, and what options, and trim did you order?

Thanks
Marc

Marc, my car was ordered in May... although since no information regarding the 2003 model year was released back then, my order was not submitted until last week. My car is going to be built sometime in early October and I will have it no later than November 10th.

I ordered Magma Red with the Charcoal/Merlot interior, aswell as every option.

Apparently there is no rear sunshade on the 2003 C-Class. I can't find any information about it anywhere, my dealership told me it is not available for 2003, it was not on the equipment listed order form, nor can I find it inside of the 2003 catalogue. Do you have any information about this?

John,
I'm checking with my dealer to verify the information in regards to the rear sunshade. I will let you know as soon as I can.
